Today you will be driven to the airport in time for your flight to Guilin. Arriving here, meet your local guide and then head straight out to Longsheng. Here, we explore the rice terraces of the Dragon’s Backbone! Beginning at the base of Mt Longji the verdant green rice fields coil the steep mountain layer upon layer climbing to its summit. Where there is soil a terrace has been made! Taking a walk along the stone paths no more than a metre wide, we climb skyward to enjoy panoramic views of the ribbon like terraces with picturesque valleys and meandering streams below. We also enjoy a visit to Zhuang and Yuo Ethnic minority villages before going to your hotel IN LONGSHENG
With breath-taking beauty, striking limestone mountain scenery and pure clean rivers Yangshuo to put it simply is stunning. Enjoy floating on Yu Long River in our traditional bamboo raft. Later, we head out into rural areas to visit a local far and visit a local farmer to understand life in the country in China.

Today enjoy your excursion to the magnificent Stone Forest. Celebrated as a natural wonder, it’s Yunnan’s most visited sight. As you stroll along the winding paths and lookout points, you’ll be in awe of the bizarre, tightly packed formations of almost ‘petrified’ stone that forms this unusual attraction. We also visit Green Lake a lovely park land that was established in the 17th century.
This morning once again take to the sky and fly to Shangri-La. Arriving here, your expert guide will take you to see Shudu lake, Bita meadow then onto see a traditional Tibetan village and the incredible Song Zanglin Lamasery.
Today enjoy a day discovering the mineral terraces of Baishuitai, we then return to town and enjoy an insightful journey through the Dukezong Old Town, a 1300-year-old Tibetan town located in Shangri-La, which it has experienced both the flames of war and prosperity of frontier trade.
This morning you’ll travel north to UNESCO-listed Lijiang. Along the way we will visit the thrillingly named Tiger leaping gorge on the Yangtze River, where there is we walk and take in the scenery in what is the world's deepest canyon. The day is complete with your visits to the Baisha Murals depicting Tibetan, Naxi and Han legends and nearby village then the fascinating Shuhe old town.
Today we set out with bags packed to visit Wangulou, a magnificent building that is one of the most famous wooden structures in China. We continue with a visit to the Black Dragon Pool, a famous pond in the scenic Jade Spring Park. Our day then concludes with a visit to the labyrinthine streets of Dayan Old Town, then off to the airport for your flight to Chengdu.
Today we tour Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding a short drive out of town. Returning back to the city we enjoy a wander in the tranquil Renmin Park, our day then concludes with a visit to the Shu Brocade Museum.
This morning fly to Jiuzhaigou - a region that for centuries has been inhabited by various Tibetan and Qiang people. Tour the Huanglong Monastery - built during the reign of Ming Emperor Hongwu, it is now a place of worship for the local Tibetan, Han, Qiang and Hui people, all of which have different religious beliefs. Afterwards enjoy a relaxing stroll by the region’s famed calcium travertines. Resembling a terraced field, the travertines flow gently into a series of multi-coloured, mineral rich ponds beneath. Onward travel to Jiuzhaigou.
Today is spent exploring the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Reserve. Located in the high Min Shan mountain range, the Jiuzhaigou reserve is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty. It’s home to densely growing conifers, broadleaf trees and of rare and endangered animal species such as takins, golden monkeys, Giant Pandas and white-lip deer. Ancient Chinese legend has it that the goddess Semo accidentally smashed her mirror here and the pieces that fell down the mountain formed beautiful lakes, streams and waterfalls. Afterwards, visits will be made to Pearl Beach Falls, Nuorilong Falls and Long Lake.
Today you have a morning flight to Chongqing, the start point for our exciting Yangtze River cruise. Before boarding the cruise the we can stroll along Chongqing’s People’s Square, in the city centre.
Good morning from the River Yangtze! At 6340km in length, the Yangtze is the 3rd longest river in the world, neatly dividing China into north and south and wending its way through eight very different provinces. Sit back for today and tomorrow, enjoy the cruise itinerary, excursions, entertainment and spectacular scenery.
Disembarking from our cruise in Yichang at 11:30. We set out to the airport for your flight to Beijing.
Morning, we tour the centre of Beijing, China's magnificent capital, including the massive Tiananmen Square and the sprawling Forbidden City. This is followed by a visit to The Temple Of Heaven and a walk in the surrounding park lands. Later this afternoon we take a rickshaw ride through the Hutongs of Beijing. Evening is at your leisure to explore.
Today, drive to Badaling, where we can walk on a section of the famous Great Wall. A symbol of total Chinese genius, the Great Wall is a cultural icon. At least 20 dynasties were involved in its construction. Stretching some 6700 kilometres, we walk along just a small chunk of this massive masterpiece of human endeavour.
This morning we set out to visit the Summer Palace which is set on Kunming Lake, we view the lavishly decorated temples, halls and courts, reconstructed in 1902 and then afterwards enjoy a ride in traditional Dragon Boat in the lake. We then head to the station for your express train to Xian. Arriving into Xian, meet your local guide who will transfer you to your hotel.
Today enjoy exploring the lofty Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The complex of temples, pagoda’s and expansive gardens, constructed during the 7th century. The fun starts now as we take a leisurely bicycle ride (solo or tandem) atop the well-preserved Xi’an city wall. At a minimum of 6 metres in width, 9 miles in length - with no steep inclines the wall offers a great vantage point for peeping down upon the city hubbub below.
Today we have included for you the must see sight of Xian - The Terracotta Warrior archaeological site, where some 7,000 warriors stand in battle ready position. Remainder of the afternoon at leisure.
Taking to the skies once more, you fly to Shanghai. Arrival here and enjoy discovering with your expert guide some of the many city sights including Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple and The Bund, with a cruise on the Huangpu River and the arts and crafts enclave of Tianzifang.
Today, we travel by express train to scenic Hangzhou. Hangzhou is unusual for a Chinese city, in that it encompasses large tracts of greenery which might normally be classified as countryside. Arriving here enjoy a visit to the incredible Six Harmonies Pagoda, Chinese Tea Museum. and a boat ride on West Lake combined with a visit to Lingyin Temple.
We travel by train to ancient Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. One of China’s most charming cities, Suzhou’s fame rests on its waterways and canals that are dotted with traditional bridges, houses and UNESCO-listed gardens. On day 14 a cruise on the Grand Canal exposes Suzhou’s beauty. Also visit a silk workshop and the Humble Administrator’s Garden. Continue by train back to Shanghai this evening.
