Welcome to China! We will meet you at Guilin airport and transfer you to the hotel. This afternoon you pay a visit to The Reed Flute Cave Within the cave there are enchanting stalagmites, stone pillars, stele, stone curtains and stone flowers. Then we continue on to Elephant Trunk Hill Located at the confluence of the Taohua (Peach Blossom) River and the Li River, this Hill is too famous to be missed.
Today you will enjoy a whole day Li River cruise. This morning your Li River cruise departs from downtown Guilin for a full days excursion. The 90km Li River cruise is the centerpiece of any trip to northeastern Guangxi Province. Gorgeous Karst peaks give you surprises at each bend of the limpid river under the blue sky. Bear witness to rural China as peasants reap rice paddies, school kids and fisherman float by on bamboo rafts. You will visit the local market and West Street once you arrive in Yangshuo.

Today we tour Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding a short drive out of town. China’s Giant Pandas are considered the most endangered mammal on the planet. Afterwards, visit the Wuhou Memorial Temple, the Tomb of Wang Jian and Jinli Lu street - part of the old city, full of traditional style buildings, quaint little shops and red lanterns galore!
This morning fly to Jiuzhaigou. Tour the Huanglong Monastery - built during the reign of Ming Emperor Hongwu, it is now a place of worship for the local Tibetan, Han, Qiang and Hui people. Afterwards enjoy a relaxing stroll by the region’s famed calcium travertines. Resembling a terraced field, the travertines flow into a series of multi-coloured, mineral rich ponds.
Today is spent exploring the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Reserve, renowned for its outstanding natural beauty. It is home to densely growing conifers and rare and endangered animal species. Afterwards, visit the Pearl Beach Falls, Nuorilong Falls and Long Lake. The ever flowing cascade of Nuorilong spans an impressive 320 metres - making it the widest waterfall in all of China.
Spend a day hiking in Zharu Valley today accompanied by a professional guide. Zharu Valley is a steep sided limestone and granite valley inside the Jiuzhaigou Valley National Park. A clear blue stream runs down its centre, with its numerous tributaries winding down through thick pine and fir forests from the surrounding mountains on both sides of the valley.
Morning flight returning to Chengdu. An hour’s drive to the north west leads you to the ancient city of Dujiangyan. It was here, in 256 BC that provincial governer Li Bing set up the Dujiangyan Irrigation Scheme, for irrigation and an outer channel for flood control. Tour the dam site, view the Anlan Suspension Bridge and the Dragon Taming Temple.
