Welcome to China and the start of your holiday! We ill meet you at the Airport in Beijing and transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day is free and at your leisure.
Don some comfortable shoes. Today we drive out of the city to Badaling, where we can walk a section of the Great Wall. Some sections are fairly steep, but the walk on the vast wall that snakes for thousands of kilometres is one of those ‘must do’ experiences! Continuing a short distance from Badaling, we visit the tombs of the Ming emperors. We also make a visit to a cloisonne workshop, where we will see firsthand the unique Chinese art of combining copper and enamel to make decorative pieces.

Today, we visit the Silk Alley markets and the beautiful Summer Palace. Later this afternoon we will transfer you to the Airport for your flight to Xian. Arrive Xian and you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel.
Today we will take you on a guided sightseeing tour of the Huaqing Hot Springs, a scenic spot in the shadow of Li Mountain. We then take you to visit the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site and we visit a workshop where we see the process used to create the terracotta figurines. In battle formation, the Terracotta Warriors are one of China’s most awesome sights.

Free morning. Later today we will transfer you to the Airport for your flight to Lanzhou. Arrive Lanzhou, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight - Lanzhou Legend Hotel (Superior hotel)
We will drive you to Xiahe and take you on a guided city tour, the highlight of which is Labrang Monastery. The white walls and golden roofs feature a blend of Tibetan and Han architectural styles. The monastery contains 18 halls, six institutes of learning, a golden stupa, a sutra debate place, and nearly 60,000 sutras. Overnight - Xiahe Aviation Hotel (Superior hotel)
Today we will take you out into the grasslands area, to visit a Nomad family and have tea. There is time for a walk in the area before we head back to Xiahe. Overnight - Xiahe Aviation Hotel (Superior hotel)
Today we will transfer you to the Airport for your flight to Guilin via Xi'an . Arrive Xi'an and connect with your flight to Guilin. Arrive Guilin and you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is free and at your leisure.
We undertake a relaxing cruise down the River Li to Yangshuo passing an endless procession of peaks and simple villages. The local fishermen use trained cormorants to catch fish and local village boys paddle out to the river boats with all manner of souvenirs. Free time in charming Yangshuo, with its little shops and cafes.
This morning you pay a visit to The Reed Flute Cave Within the cave there are enchanting stalagmites, stone pillars, stele, stone curtains and stone flowers. Then we continue on to Elephant Trunk Hill Located at the confluence of the Taohua (Peach Blossom) River and the Li River. Later we fly to Shanghai and check you into your hotel.
