Day 1: Urumqi

Flight Beijing to Urumqi: 1915- 2325. Arrival at Urumqi, meet at the Airport, transfer to the hotel and check in.

Day 2: Urumqi - Kashgar

Heavenly Lake (spend some time hiking to/from/round lake) , Xinjiang Museum, fly to Kashgar after dinner.

Day 3: Kashgar

Grand Bazaar, Grand Mosque, Apakhoja Tombs, Old Town.

Day 4: Kashgar - Urumqi

Visit to Karakul Lake. Fly to Urumqi in the evening.

Day 5: Urumqi - Turpan

Southern Mountain Pasture, after lunch drive to Turpan, Karez.Jiaohe Ruins, Emin Minerat, Xinjiang Uygur Singing and Dancing Show.

Day 6: Turpan - Liuyuan

Gaochang Ruins, the Flaming Mountain, the Thousand-Buddha Grottoes, Tuyu Valley, Grape Valley. Overnight train to Liuyuan by soft sleepers.

Day 7: Liuyuan - Dunhuang

Arrive in Liuyuan, the nearest train stop to Dunhuang, Liuyuan/Dunhuang by coach, visit Sand Dunes, Crescent Moon Lake, Mogao Grottos.

Dunhuang/Jiayuguan by coach, Jiayuguan Pass. Overnight train to Lanzhou by soft sleepers.b,l,d Jiayuguan Pass includes visits to the Jiayuguan Fort, the Great Wall museum, the Overhanging Great Wall and the nearby second section of the Wall.

Day 9: Lanzhou

Meet at the railway station. Boat ride on the Yellow River, Bingling Temple.

Day 10: Lanzhou - Beijing

Morning at leisure without guide. Fly from Lanzhou to Beijing. FM9147 1610 /1810 (Flight for David only) Transfer to Capital Airport Hotel. Hotel provides free of charge airport shuttle service.
