Day 1: Lhasa

Day 2: Lhasa - Shigatse

Day 5: Shigatse - Lhasa

We begin our exploration of this mystical city first heading to Lhasa’s most enduring image, the Potala Palace. This being the winter home of the Dalai Lamas. However, it is the Jokhang Temple which will be the most enlightening stop of the day being the holiest shrine in Tibet. Today we also visit Barkhor street and Norbulingka. Enjoy the remainder of the day to relax.

Day 6: Lhasa

Our exploration of Lhasa continues today as we take the short journey to the 15th century Drepung Monastery, which was formerly one of the central monasteries of Tibet. Then we head Just north of Lhasa to visit the Sera Monastery, still a working retreat 600 years after its foundation as a main teaching monastery and one of the three great Gelukpa ‘Universities’ once housing more than 5500 monks.

Day 7: Lhasa - Chengdu

Today you will be transfered to the airport for your flight to Chengdu. Here you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the remainder of today at leisure.

Day 8: Chengdu

We bid you farewell today and will transfer you to the airport for your flight home.
