Welcome to China and the start of your holiday! Enjoy an arrival transfer to your hotel, where you can sit back and relax for the afternoon after your long flight. Tonight, we enjoy a Welcome Dinner of Peking Duck at a city restaurant.
Don some comfortable shoes. Today we drive out of the city to Badaling, where we can walk a section of the Great Wall. Some sections are fairly steep, but the walk on the vast wall that snakes for thousands of kilometres is one of those ‘must do’ experiences! Continuing a short distance from Badaling, we visit the tombs of the Ming emperors. There’s a shop if you fancy splashing a little cash.
This morning, we explore the heart of Beijing including the vast Tiananmen Square where Chairman Mao’s tomb and various monuments to the people are located. Dominating the city’s heart is the Forbidden City, a centre of power for five centuries and seat of the emperors. Entering through the Gate of Heavenly Peace (replete with Chairman Mao’s portrait), we enjoy a guided walk of this old city within a city.

We visit Huaqing Hot Springs, a scenic spot in the shadow of Li Mountain. Before visiting the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site, we visit a workshop where we see the process used to create the terracotta figurines. In battle formation, the Terracotta Warriors are one of China’s most awesome sights.

This morning we will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Chengdu. After checking into your hotel we will travel about 10km north to the Giant panda breeding Research Base where you will catch a glimpse of some of the 40 Pandas that reside here. Tonight you can have free time to spend some time at the Quingshiqiao Markets.
This morning we will transfer you to the airport where you will get your flight to Guilin. On arrival in Guilin we will transfer you to your hotel. This afternoon we will check out the Reed Flute Caves and Elephant trunk hill before a free evening.
This morning your Li River cruise departs from downtown Guilin for a full days excursion. The 90 Km Li River cruise is the centerpiece of any trip to northeastern Guangxi Province. Gorgeous Karst peaks give you surprises at each bend of the limpid river under the blue sky. Bear witness to rural China as peasants reap rice paddies, school kids and fisherman float by on bamboo rafts. After passing many world renown sights such as Elephent Trunk Hill, Pagoda Hill and more you arrive in to Yangshuo where will be your resting place for the next two days.
Today you will enjoy a day of free time to soak in some sightseeing of places like the Black buddha caves & water caves.
Returning to Guilin, we will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Kunming and on arrival we will check you into the hotel.
Capital of Yunnan Province, Kunming lies 2000m above sea level. Its gentle weather and abundance of flowers have earned it the name ‘City of Eternal Spring’. Arriving mid morning, hotel check in and free time. Visit the stunning Western Hills or the Dragon Gate Grotto if you choose.
Today we visit the petrified Stone Forest, before flying onward to Lijiang.
Seeing the reflection of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on the surface of a picturesque lake, is the highlight of the 3 - 4 hour hike toward Wenhai guesthouse. Upon arrival explore the village and drink tea with a local family.
We drive about an hour to Lashi Lake, to visit the Naxi villages and the Tibetan Buddhism Temple. Then its another 3 hours drive on to Liming. On the way we visit Shigu Town, the first bend of the Yangtze River.
Today you will have a 3 hour hike (or pony ride if you prefer, pay locally to book) to the summit of the Thousand Tortoise Mountain. After enjoying the spectacular panoramic views, continue your walk downhill to Liming. We then drive you back to Lijiang and transfer you to the airport for the flight to Shanghai and on arrival we will check you into the hotel.
