Today you fly from the beautiful Lijiang to Xian where you will be met at the airport and taken to your hotel where you can relax for the evening.
Today discover the marvellous Terracotta Warriors archaeological site. Some 7000 warriors stand battle-ready and have done so for the past 2,200 years. We also take a guided excursion to the ancient Buddhist Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Take a casual bicycle ride on top of the nine mile city wall with views over the lively city below. The day concludes with a visit to the Muslim Quarter of the city, giving you a great insight into the religious diversity of China.
This morning we take the high speed train to Beijing before transferring to a beautiful and unspoilt region of The Great Wall of China known as Jinshanling.
Don some comfortable shoes as today you get the chance to walk a section of the famous Great Wall. This section of the wall is connected with the Simatai section to the east. Some distance to the west lies the Mutianyu section. Jinshanling section of the wall was built from 1570 CE during the Ming Dynasty and is considered one of the more beautiful sections to see.
This morning we return back to Beijing to board the highspeed train and make our way to the amazing Shanghai.
