This morning, We explore the heart of Beijing including the vast Tiananmen Square where Chairman Mao’s tomb and various monuments to the people are located. Dominating the city’s heart is the Forbidden City, a centre of power for five centuries and seat of the emperors. Entering through the Gate of Heavenly Peace (replete with Chairman Mao’s portrait), we enjoy a guided walk of this old city within a city. Tonight, we enjoy a Kungfu Show. Overnight Beijing
Don some comfortable shoes. Today we drive out of the city to Badaling, where we can walk a section of the Great Wall. Some sections are fairly steep, but the walk on the vast wall that snakes for thousands of kilometres is one of those ‘must do’ experiences! Later tonight you board your overnight train to Xian. Good morning and welcome to Xian. Upon arrival you will be met by our local representatives and transferred to your hotel there is time to freshen up before visiting the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site, we visit a workshop where we see the process used to create the terracotta figurines. In battle formation, the Terracotta Warriors are one of China’s most awesome sights. This evening enjoy a Dumpling Banquet. Overnight Xian.
As you have indicated that you are interested in food, today test your culinary skills with a local cooking class. Also head out and visit what Xian has on offer. Spend some time at the Wild Goose Pagoda a well-preserved ancient building and a holy place for Buddhists. Also take a bicycle ride along the City's wall and also tour the Musilim Quarter. Today take the high speed train out to Luoyang. It is here you will visit the Longmen Cave. The UNESCO listed 6th Century Longman Caves etched into the cliffs of the Yi River. The 1300 caves (grottoes) are adorned with 100,000 statues and images of Buddha and his disciples, carved during the Northern Wei Dynasty. Overnight Luoyang.
Travel to Dengfeng in order to visit the Shaolin Temple that is located there. Afterwards you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your accommodation. Overnight Chengdu.
Driving to Leshan our morning is spent exploring the the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Dafo (Great Buddha), which is carved into the red sandstone face of Lingyun Hill. Afterwards you continue to Huanglongxi Ancient Town and also visit the Tea House. Later return back to your hotel in Chengdu. Overnight Chengdu.
After breakfast you will venture to the Panda Centre. Located just 10km (6miles) away from downtown Chengdu, the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Centre has been created and imitates the pandas' natural habitat in order that they might have the best possible environment for rearing and breeding. Afterwards you will be transferred back to the airport in time for your departure flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Shanghai.
Once known for its decadent magnetism that attracted fortune-seekers and adventurers, Shanghai looks like a European city in a Chinese setting. A stroll along the famous Shanghai Bund confirms this. Today, we visit the Oriental Pearl TV tower, explore the charming Yuyuan Gardens, and also take a leisurely cruise along the Huangpu River. Overnight Shanghai.
Leaving the city today we board our high speed train and journey to Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. One of China’s most charming cities, it’s fame rests on it’s waterways, and canals that are dotted with traditional bridges, houses and gardens. While in Suzhou you will also visit the The Humble Administrator's Garden before reboarding your high speed train back to Shanghai.

This morning visit the hustle and bustle of a local fish market before boarding a Junk boat for a cruise. Afterwards enjoy a half day sightseeing tour of the exciting city.
