Day 1: Shanghai

Hello China! Arrive Shanghai and included airport transfer to our hotel. Just the mere mention of ‘Shanghai’ conjures up mystery, romance and general decadence. Pre – 1949, cosmopolitan Shanghai was a magnet for seekers of wealth, idle colonialists, explorers and the dispossessed. Everything went belly up in 1949, when Mao and the communists took to power and swept the good times and rock and roll away. A legacy of these heady times is Shanghai’s Bund where on and around this waterfront promenade are a vast series of grandiose pre-1949 buildings. Day 2: Shanghai

Today we tour many of the city’s top spots - Yu Gardens where we will enjoy lunch and Bazaar- Shanghai’s finest traditional garden, the Bund, Pudong and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Jade Buddha Temple and take a cruise including a cruise along the Huangpu River.

Day 3: Shanghai

Bus, drive and guide today to take you to Elders Fine Foods (EFF) departing at 09:00am, returning to your hotel at 23:00pm.

Day 4: Shanghai

Bus, driver and guide today to take you to: 07:30am - Zhongxin Textile Factory. 09:30am - Arrive Zhongxin Textile Factory and enjoy guided sightseeing. 11:00am - Woollen Mill Tour. 13:30pm - Depart for Leather Goods Retail complex. 14:30pm - Free time for shopping. 16:30pm - Depart for Shanghai. 19:00pm - Arrive hotel in Shanghai.

Day 5: Shanghai

Bus, driver and guide today to take you to: 07:30am - Depart for Sunshine Mill. 09:30am - Arrive Sunshine Milll and enjoy guided sightseeing. 13:00pm - Depart for Zhangjiagang today. 14:00pm - Arrive Tianyu, included touring of Scouring Mill and Combing Mill. 17:00pm - Depart for your hotel, the Holiday Inn booked independent to this booking. Overnight Zhangjiagang - Hotel booked independent to this booking.

Day 6: - Nanjing

Bus, drive and guide to pick you up at 09:00am from your hotel, the Holiday Inn booked independent to this booking and transfer to Nanjing. Arriving Nanjing at roughly 14:00pm, we visit the Nanjing Wool Market then transfer to your hotel to freshen up before heading out for dinner and a City of Lights Tour. Day 7: Nanjing

Free morning in Nanjing before we depart for the airport for your flight to Yangtai. Own arrangements.

Day 9: - Beijing

Own arrangements to the airport. Morning Flight: Yantai to Beijing included by On The Go. You will be met at the airport in Beijing and transferred to your hotel. This afternoone, we enjoy guided sightseeing of the Temple of Heaven and famed Silk Alley markets. Overnight Beijing - Tianlun Dynasty Hotel

Day 10: Beijing

Today, we drive beyond Beijing to Badaling, to walk a section of the famous Great Wall. Built in the Ming Dynasty, a 6m wide pathway makes a formidable defence, following the highest contours of a steep range of hills. Free time this afternoon. Enjoy a welcome dinner of Peking Duck in the evening.

Day 11: Beijing

This morning, we tour the centre of Beijing, China's magnificent capital, including the massive Tiananmen Square and the sprawling Forbidden City. Boasting some 9999 rooms, the city within a city was once the sole preserve of the Chinese emperors. Free time this afternoon.
