This morning make your way to Nanjing Station for the high speed train to Beijing. Train departs at 09:28, arriving at 13:28 into Beijing South station our local team await to transfer you to your hotel right by the Great Wall. Your hotel The Brickyard is located with fantastic views and parts of the Great Wall are located a stones throw away.
Enjoy a full day hiking on the Great wall of China taking in the stunning scenery. Later afternoon arriving into Beijing City and check into your hotel. Later we take an evening rickshaw ride through the Hutongs of Beijing to see a little insight into traditional residential districts of the city.
This morning, we tour the centre of Beijing, China's magnificent capital, including the massive Tian'anmen Square and the sprawling Forbidden City. Boasting some 9999 rooms, the city within a city was once the sole preserve of the Chinese emperors. Later this afternoon we visit the Summer Palace. This vast complex is replete with lavishly decorated temples, halls and courts, reconstructed in 1902 at the whim of the extravagant Dowager Empress Cixi.
This morning your guide will take you for a walk in the park surrounding the Temple of Heaven where you can see the locals practicing Tai Chi, Dancing and more. We then take you on a guided tour of the Temple before heading to the station to travel to Xian on the afternoon high speed train (DEP:-14:00 -- ARR:-18:40) Arriving in Xian, our local team transfer you to your hotel.
Emperor Qin’s Terracotta Warriors are reputed to be the greatest discovery of the 20th century - 7,000 life-sized clay soldiers stand ready for battle. This morning we visit the archaeological site and the workshop where the replica warriors are crafted. Afternoon we tour the lofty Big Wild Goose Pagoda home to a complex of temples, pagoda’s and expansive gardens, that were constructed during the 7th century. We conclude the day with a walk in the evening to the Muslim Quarter of the city.
In the morning take a leisurely bicycle ride (solo or tandem) atop the well-preserved Xi’an city wall. At a minimum of 6 metres in width, 9 miles in length - with no steep inclines the wall offers a great vantage point. We then head to the airport for your flight to Shanghai. Arriving here, our local guide will transfer you to your hotel. (OVERNIGHT AT THE Broadway Mansions Hotel)
Today we tour many of the city’s top spots - Yu Gardens and Bazaar- Shanghai’s finest traditional garden, the Bund, Pudong and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Jade Buddha Temple and take a cruise including a cruise along the Huangpu River. (OVERNIGHT AT THE Broadway Mansions Hotel)
Sadly your voyage has come to an end, we will transfer you to Shanghai Airport in time for your flight home.
