Day 1: Hong Kong

Welcome to Hong Kong after your arrival transfer to your hotel, enjoy free time to discover the highlights of this compact metropolis that touches the sky's, Hong Kong is known for its shopping im sure you will find many bargains.

Day 2: Hong Kong

Today you you will enjoy a half day tour of Hong Kong covering the major highlights of this fascinating city. The tour will take in Repulse Bay, Victoria Peak and Aberdeen. The tour will end after lunch, at about 2:30 pm. Hong Kong is known for its shopping and there will be some free time for you to go out bargain hunting this afternoon.

Day 3: Hong Kong

Today we take a ferry to nearby Macau. A former Portuguese colony, Macau was administered by Portugal from the mid-16th century until late 1999, when it was the last remaining European colony in Asia. Today enjoy a half day tour later on we go back to Hong Kong

Day 5: Hong Kong - Guilin

Thsi morning we fly to Guilin. Later on you pay a visit to The Reed Flute Cave Within the cave there are enchanting stalagmites, stone pillars, stele, stone curtains and stone flowers. Then we continue on to Elephant Trunk Hill Located at the confluence of the Taohua (Peach Blossom) River and the Li River, this Hill is too famous to be missed

Day 6: Guilin

Today you will enjoy Li River cruise. This morning your Li River cruise departs from downtown Guilin. Gorgeous Karst peaks give you surprises at each bend of the limpid river under the blue sky. Bear witness to rural China as peasants reap rice paddies, school kids and fisherman float by on bamboo rafts. You will visit the local market and West Street once you arrive in Yangshuo. Later on we return to Guilin

Day 7: Guilin - Shanghai

Today we fly to Shanghai. Upon arrival into Shanghai we will be there to meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Once known for its decadent magnetism that attracted fortune-seekers and adventurers, Shanghai looks like a European city in a Chinese setting. A stroll along the famous Shanghai Bund confirms this. Also we will visit the Old City where we can opt to shop on Nanjing Road.

Day 8: Shanghai

Today, we explore the Jade Buddha Temple and charming Yuyuan Gardens

Day 9: Shanghai

Today, we visit the Oriental Pearl TV tower, Chenghuang Temple. and in the evening enjoy Huangpu River Cruise

Day 10: Shanghai

Travelling west, we journey to Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. One of China’s most charming cities, it’s fame rests on it’s waterways, and canals that are dotted with traditional bridges, houses and gardens. A cruise on the Grand Canal exposes Suzhou’s beauty. Renown for it’s silk, we also visit a silk workshop before returning to Shanghai.

Day 11: Shanghai - Xi'an

Today we fly to ancient Xian. We will transfer you to your hotel and later on visit the city landmark: Bell Tower

Day 12: Xi'an

Todays highlights will be a visit to Huaqing Hot Springs, a scenic spot in the shadow of Li Mountain. Before visiting the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site, we visit a workshop where we see the process used to create the terracotta figurines. In battle formation, the Terracotta Warriors are one of China’s most awesome sights.

Day 13: Xi'an

Today we visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and take a bicycle ride along Xi’an 9 mile in length, medieval City Wall before heading down into the Muslim Markets and visiting the Great Mosque.

Day 14: Xi'an - Taiyuan

Morning at leisure. This evening on we fly to Taiyuan. Remaining day at leisure

Day 15: Taiyuan - Pingyao

Today we drive to Pingyao. On arrival into Pingyao we are met by our guide. Today's site-seeing in Pingyao will be to Shuangling Temple and Zhengguo Temple. Overnight at Pingyao Yunjincheng Hotel 5*

Day 16: Pingyao - Datong

Today we transfer you to Datong. We head out to visit the peculiar wood-structured Hanging Monastery, built on the cliff at the foot of Mt. Hengshan it gives a breath-taking view of Chinese architecture.

Day 17: Datong - Beijing

Today we head out to explore the Yungang Grottoes, Huayan Temple, The Nine Dragon Wall and The Shanhua Temple. This evening we take an overnight train to Beijing.

Day 18: Beijing

On arrival we will transfer you to your hotel. We explore the heart of Beijing including the vast Tiananmen Square where Chairman Mao’s tomb and various monuments to the people are located. Dominating the city’s heart is the Forbidden City, a centre of power for five centuries and seat of the emperors. Entering through the Gate of Heavenly Peace (replete with Chairman Mao’s portrait), we enjoy a guided walk of this old city within a city. This afternoon we take a rickshaw ride through the Hutongs of Beijing

Day 19: Beijing

Today we visit the Temple of Heaven where we can enjoy some time perhaps kite flying and continue onto Summer Palace, set on Kunming Lake, to view the lavishly decorated temples, halls and courts, reconstructed in 1902.

Day 20: Beijing - Client's own arrangements

Today we visit the most significant structures built for the 2008 Olympic Games including famous Bird's Nest Stadium and "Water Cube" the Aquatics Centre.

Today we visit Silk Market and later on Beijing Zoo (home of Pandas)
