Day 1: Qingdao - Xi'an

Your adventure today starts with a collection from your designated address and a transfer to the railway station for your overnight sleeper train to Xi'an.

Day 2: Xi'an

Upon arrival into Xi'an you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check in and breakfast. Afterwards proceed on a sightseeing tour of Xi'an starting with the Terracotta Warriors. At this archaeological site some 7000 warriors stand battle-ready and have done so for the past 2,200 years. Continue to the Huaqing Hot Springs famed for the wonderful scenery.

Day 3: Xi'an - Guilin

Today enjoy a guided tour of the nine mile city wall with views over the lively city below. The day concludes with a visit to the Muslim Quarter of the city, giving you a great insight into the religious diversity of China. Later this evening you will be transferred to the railway station for your overnight sleeper train to Guilin.

Day 4: Guilin

Today is spent on the train as it plies its course south to Guilin passing a variety of scenery along the way. Arriving into Guilin around 11pm this evening you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 5: Guilin

This morning pay a visit to The Reed Flute Cave. Within the cave there are enchanting stalagmites, stone pillars, stone curtains and stone flowers. Continue on to Elephant Trunk Hill. Located at the confluence of the Taohua (Peach Blossom) River and the Li River, this hill is too famous to be missed.

Day 6: Guilin - Hangzhou

This morning your Li River cruise departs from downtown Guilin for a full day's excursion. The 90km Li River cruise is the highlight of any trip to northeastern Guangxi province. Gorgeous karst peaks give you surprises at each bend of the limpid river under the blue sky. Bear witness to rural China as peasants reap rice paddies and school kids and fisherman float by on bamboo rafts. After passing many world-renowned sights such as Elephant Trunk Hill and Pagoda, arrive in to Yangshuo and transfer back to Gullin for your overnight sleeper train to Hangzhou.

Day 7: Hangzhou - Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)

Arriving into Hangzhou around noon you will be met at the airport and transferred to Huangshan by car. Hotel check in and the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 8: Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)

Considered the most beautiful mountain in China, Yellow Mountain or Huangshan is one of a range of 72 peaks in the south of Anhui Province. Set amidst rural landscapes and with its slopes clad in pine, the ethereal scenery is nothing short of breathtaking. Some 9,000 steps have been carved into the mountain, for those that want to walk up the most stunning stairwell on earth, though our excursion today does include a return cable-car journey to the scenic area taking in the most popular scenic spots. Tonight will be spent at a hotel on the mountain.

Day 9: Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) - Suzhou

After enjoying the spectacular sunrise over the peaks around Huangshan take an excursion to visit the Cloud Dispelling Pavillion, the Grand Canyon, Flying Rock and the Summit Peak. We then go down by cable car to visit Hongcun village. Later in the afternoon transfer to the railway station for your overnight sleeper train to Suzhou.

Day 10: Suzhou - Shanghai

Upon arrival into Suzhou you will be met and transferred to a local hotel for breakfast. A sort of oriental Venice, ancient Suzhou is interwoven by a series of canals and pretty waterways which feed a series of classical gardens laid out here since the Song dynasty, a thousand years ago. They are justly famous across China. Suzhou sits very close to the Grand Canal and today you will get the chance to enjoy a cruise on the Grand Canal, tour the Humble Administrator’s Garden and visit a silk workshop. Later this afternoon you will be transferred to the railway station for your high speed train to Shanghai where upon arrival you will be collected and taken to your hotel.

Day 11: Shanghai

Today marks the end of your adventure with On the Go Tours. After breakfast and hotel check out we will transfer you to the airport in time for your onward departure flight.
