Today is a free day for you to independently explore Hong Kong and its many sights.
This morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Guilin where upon your arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for check in. Later this afternoon enjoy a guided visit to the Reed Flute Cave. Within the cave there are enchanting stalagmites, stone pillars, stone curtains and stone flowers. Continue on to Elephant Trunk Hill. Located at the confluence of the Taohua (Peach Blossom) River and the Li River, this hill is too famous to be missed.
This morning drive to Longsheng to explore the rice terraces of the Dragon’s Backbone. Beginning at the base of Mt Longji the verdant green rice fields coil the steep mountain layer upon layer climbing to its summit. Taking a walk along the stone paths no more than a metre wide, climb skyward to enjoy panoramic views of the ribbon-like terraces with picturesque valleys and meandering streams below.
This morning your Li River cruise departs from downtown Guilin for a full day's excursion. The 90km Li River cruise is the highlight of any trip to northeastern Guangxi province. Gorgeous karst peaks give you surprises at each bend of the limpid river under the blue sky. Bear witness to rural China as peasants reap rice paddies and school kids and fisherman float by on bamboo rafts. After passing many world-renowned sights such as Elephant Trunk Hill and Pagoda, arrive in to Yangshuo and explore West Street before transferring back to Gullin.
Transferring to the airport this morning, board a flight to Chongqing where you will embark on your Yangtze River Cruise. Later this evening dinner will be served on board and the ship sets sail around 10pm.
Day 2 on board the Yangtze River cruise. Enjoy a leisurely morning soaking up the scenery of the Yangtze. In the afternoon there's the option of a shore excursion to Fengdu (Ghost City) and the impressive wooden Shibaozhai pavilion. Later in the evening back on board join the Captain's Welcome Dinner.
During day 3 on board the Yangtze River cruise you will pass the Qutang gorge, the shortest, narrowest, yet most impressive, of the Three Gorges, and later the incredibly beautiful Wu gorge. Disembark for an excursion to Shennong stream by open sampan. Returning to the cruise ship continue through Xiling gorge, the longest of the three.
Your final day on board the Yangtze cruise brings the opportunity to visit the Three Gorges Dam, the grandest hydroelectric project in the world. After lunch and arrival into Yichang, disembark from the cruise ship and transfer to the airport for your flight to Xi'an.
Today discover the marvellous Terracotta Warriors archaeological site. Some 7000 warriors stand battle-ready and have done so for the past 2,200 years. A visit to a clay workshop specialising in making replica figurines is also included. The remainder of the evening is at leisure or perhaps you'd like to opt for our Tang Dynasty Dinner and Show (please see Enhance Options page of the quote).
This morning's excursion takes you to the Shaanxi Rare Wildlife Rescue and Breeding Centre, a shelter for ill and injured pandas, one of the world's most endangered mammals. Later we return to Xi'an for a leisurely bicycle ride along the medieval city wall offering a bird's eye view of the city below.
This morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Qingdao where upon your arrival you will be transferred to your hotel, the QINGDAO LITIAN HOTEL. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy the town and its beach at leisure.
Often labelled 'China's Switzerland' due to its Bavarian architecture and appearance, the coastal city of Qingdao is a breath of fresh air. Enjoy a day at leisure.
