Great Wall

Day 1: Beijing

Welcome to China! Upon arrival we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel for the evening.

Forbidden City

Day 2: Beijing

Spend the morning touring the famous Summer Palace on Kunming Lake. This vast complex is replete with lavishly decorated temples, halls and courts, reconstructed in 1902 at the whim of the extravagant Dowager Empress Cixi. We continue our tour to the Temple of Heaven before returning to our hotel.

Day 3: Beijing

Today is a free day for you to relax or explore Beijing independently.

Summer Palace

Day 4: Beijing - Chengde

Today, we drive beyond Beijing to Badaling, where we can walk a section of the famous Great Wall. Parts of the wall have been renovated, a little steep in sections though not too challenging. Continuing, we visit the Ming Tombs before journeying onto Chengde for the evening. Overnight Qi Wang Lou Hotel.

Day 5: Chengde

Today is a free day with use of the car and driver at your disposal. Overnight Qi Wang Lou Hotel.

Day 6: Chengde - Xi'an

Today you will be transferred back to Beijing. Enroute we will visit the Eastern Qing Tombs. Overnight 2 berth train cabin.

Day 7: Xi'an

Upon arrival we will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for breakfast then we tour the Terracotta Warrior archaeological site where some 7,000 warriors stand in battle ready position. We continue on our visit to the medieval City Wall and Muslim Quarter.

Day 8: Xi'an - Zhengzhou

Today we will transfer you to the train station for your train to Luoyang. Upon arrival we will pick you up and explore the UNESCO world heritage listed 6th Century Longman Caves, etched into the cliffs along the Yi River. You will be then transferred to the train station for your train to Zhengzhou. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel for the evening. Overnight Xinhau Jinguo Hotel.

Day 9: Zhengzhou - Qufu

Today we will transfer you to the Zhengzhou train station for your train to Qufu East. Upon arrival we will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel with the remainder of the afternoon free.

Day 10: Qufu - Nanjing

Today we visit Confucius Temple, ranks with Beijing’s Forbidden city as a great classic Chinese architectural complex. The grand and opulent of the Confucius mansion. After visits to the mansion and temple we take a rickshaw ride around the city wall with a visit to the eerie Confucius forest. You will then be transferred to the train station for the train to Nanjing South.

Day 11: Nanjing

Today you can enjoy a tour of Zhanyuan Garden, Gate of China, Master Temple and visit the Dr. Sun Yat-Sun Mausoleum.

Day 12: Nanjing - Suzhou

This morning you will be transferred to the train station for your train to Suzhou. Upon arrival you can visit the Lingering Garden, enjoy a cruise on the Grand Canal and visit a silk workshop.

Day 13: Suzhou - Shanghai

Today we visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden, Suzhou Muesum, Ping Jiang Road and then transferred by road to Shanghai. Overnight Indigo on the Bund.

Day 14: Shanghai

Today we tour many of the city’s top spots - Yu Gardens and Bazaar- Shanghai’s finest traditional garden, the Bund, Pudong and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the Jade Buddha Temple and take a cruise including a cruise along the Huangpu River. Overnight Indigo on the Bund.

Day 15: Shanghai

Sadly your last day with us with your departure airport transfer.
