This morning, we embark on a guided sightseeing tour of the nation’s capital. Tiananmen Square is essentially the heart of Beijing. Heading back a few centuries we step into the Forbidden City, the walled city of the former Chinese emperors. We enjoy lunch with a local family. This afternoon we take rickshaws to explore the Hutongs of Beijing and Jingshan Park for the tea ceremony. Tonight, we enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a city restaurant.
Today, we drive beyond Beijing to Badaling, where we can walk a section of the famous Great Wall, built during the Ming Dynasty. Later this afternoon we visit the Ming Tombs. Tonight, an evening of choreographed acrobatic performance.
This morning we visit the Drum Tower and Shichahai Lake before we are transferred to teh airport for our flight to Xian. On arrival we are met by our guide and transferred to our hotel.
Xi’an in Shaanxi Province is perhaps most famous for the discovery of Emperor Qin’s Terracotta Warriors. The 2,200 year old warriors comprise more than 7,000 life-sized soldiers which stand battle-ready in excavated pits. We tour the site and a workshop where replicas are crafted.
Today we are transferred to the airport for our flight to Yichang, on arrival we embark aboud our cruise boat - Victoria Anna.
Good morning from the River Yangtze! At 6340km in length, the Yangtze is the 3rd longest river in the world, neatly dividing China into north and south, and wending its way through eight very different provinces. Enjoy spectacular vistas passing through all of the famous Gorges Qutangxia Gorge, Wuxia Gorge, Xiling Gorge on your way to Chongquing.
Disembarking in Chongquing, we are met by our guide to drive to Daza. Upon arrival we explore the Daza Caves. We then continue onto Chengdu.
After breakfast you will venture to the Panda Centre. Located just 10km (6miles) away from downtown Chengdu, the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Centre has been created and imitates the pandas' natural habitat in order that they might have the best possible environment for rearing and breeding. Following this we visit the Tea House and Kuanzhai Lane. We then transfer to the airport for our flight to Guilin, on arrival we are transferred to our hotel.
This morning your Li River cruise departs from downtown Guilin for a full days excursion. The 90 Km Li River cruise is the centerpiece of any trip to northeastern Guangxi Province. Gorgeous Karst peaks give you surprises at each bend of the limpid river under the blue sky. Bear witness to rural China as peasants reap rice paddies, school kids and fisherman float by on bamboo rafts. We arrive into Yangshuo where you can explore the markets.
This morning you pay a visit to The Reed Flute Cave Within the cave there are enchanting stalagmites, stone pillars, stele, stone curtains and stone flowers. Then we continue on to Elephant Trunk Hill Located at the confluence of the Taohua (Peach Blossom) River and the Li River, this Hill is too famous to be missed. Later we board our train to Shenzhen.
On arrival into Shenzhen we are met by our guide and transferred to our hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight - Shenzhen Shanshui hotel
Today we are transferred to the train station for our included train to Hong Kong - end of arrangements.
