Day 1: Hong Kong

Welcome to Hong Kong and the start of your holiday! You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.

This morning, we will meet you and transfer you to train station for your morning train to Shenzhen, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight Shenzhen - Holiday Inn Express Shenzhen Hotel (3 star)

Day 4: Shenzhen - Guangzhou

Morning at leisure before we transfer to train station for your afternoon train to Guangzhou, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Guangzhou - Guangzhou Grand Continental Service Apartments (3 star)

Day 5: Guangzhou - Guilin

Today's sightseeing includes the Chen Clan Ancestor Temple, Nanyue King’s Tomb, Yuexiu Park and Liurong Temple. Later this afternoon, we transfer you to the train station for your overnight sleeper train to Guilin.

Day 6: Guilin

Arrive Guilin today. We will meet you at the train station and transfer to hotel. This afternoons we visit the Reed Flute Cave and Elephant Trunk Hill.

Day 7: Guilin - Yangshuo

Enjoy a Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo where you will enjoy the afternoon bike riding around the many mountain trails Yangshuo has to offer.

Day 8: Yangshuo

This morning we drive to Longsheng. Here, we explore the rice terraces of the Dragon’s Backbone! Beginning at the base of Mt Longji the verdant green rice fields coil the steep mountain layer upon layer climbing to its summit. Where there is soil a terrace has been made! Taking a walk along the stone paths no more than a metre wide, we climb skyward to enjoy panoramic views of the ribbon like terraces with picturesque valleys and meandering streams below. Day 9:

We drive to Sanjiang to take overnight sleeper train to Jishou.

Day 10:

Arrive in Jishou in the early morning, bus to Phoenix Town (roughly 1 hr). Visit the Phoenix Town in the morning including Hongqiao Art Bridge, East Gate Tower, the former residence of the great writer-Shen Congwen (1902-1988), the former residence of Xiong Xilin - the first prime minister of China of People (1870-1937) and Yang's family divine yard. Enjoy and unforgettable boat tour (shared boat) in Tuojiang River where we can view long rows of stilted houses of the ancient city on both sides of the river. You can have a free time for self-exploring in the ancient town in the afternoon. Overnight Jiangtian Hotel (3 star)

Day 11: - Zhangjiajie

Morning bus to Zhangjiajie. After lunch we visit the Yellow Dragon Cave, which is one of the biggest limestone cave in Asia. Overnight Zhangjiajie - Zhangjiajie Royal Hotel (3 star)

Day 12: Zhangjiajie

We enjoy a cable car up to the Tianzi Mountain to enjoy Sightseeing in the The Marshel Helong Park, the West Sea, Imperial Pen Peak and more. We take the shuttle bus to Yuanjiajie after lunch for sightseeing in Yuanjiajie where we take the bailong elevator down the no.1 bridge of the world. Overnight Zhangjiajie - Zhangjiajie Royal Hotel (3 star)

Day 13: Zhangjiajie - Shanghai

We catch the cable car up to visit the Yellow Stone Village. Six Wonder Pavilion, Star Gathering Stage and more. We enjoy a casual walking half way along the Golden Whip Stream. After lunch, bus back to downtown for sightseeing in Tianmenshan Mountain (cable car up and down). We see the Tianmen cave and more. After dinner, we take a late flight to Shanghai, where you are met transferred to your hotel.

Day 14: Shanghai

Focus your eyes on spectacular Shanghai. Perhaps China’s most modern city, its amazing Pudong skyline is stunning. We visit the Jade Buddha Temple, Yuyuan Garden and street market, The Bund, TV Tower and take a cruise along the Huangpu River.

Day 15: Shanghai

Today we take a high speed train journey to ancient Suzhou. A sort of oriental Venice, ancient Suzhou is interwoven by a series of canals and pretty waterways which feed a series of classical gardens, laid out here since the Song dynasty, a thousand years ago. They are justly famous across China. Suzhou sits very close to the Grand Canal. We enjoy a cruise on the Grand Canal, tour the Humble Administrator’s Garden and visit a silk workshop before catching the train back to Shanghai.

Day 16: Shanghai - Yangtze & Three Gorges

We transfer to airport for your flight to Yichang, where you are met and transferred to your Cruiser for boarding time after dinner.

Day 20: Yangtze & Three Gorges - Chengdu

Disembarking in Chongqing, we will met and transfer you to the train station for your train to Chengdu. You will be met and transferred to hotel.

Day 21: Chengdu - Xi'an

We enjoy the morning at the Chengdu Panda Research and Breeding Centre. This afternoon we drive to Leshan to visit to Giant Buddha Sculpture (boat) then catch our overnight sleeper train to Xi'an.

Day 22: Xi'an

Arriving in Xi’an Shaanxi Province is perhaps most famous for Emperor Qin’s Terracotta Warriors. Discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, the 7,000 life-sized soldiers, some 2,200 years old, stand battle-ready in excavated pits under the cover of a modern protective hanger. We tour the archaeological site.

Day 23: Xi'an - Luoyang

We take the express train to Luoyang in the evening. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 24: Luoyang

Today we explore the UNESCO - listed 6th Century Longman Caves etched into the cliffs of the Yi River. The 1300 caves (grottoes) are adorned with 100,000 statues and images of Buddha and his disciples, carved during the Northern Wei Dynasty. Later we tour the White Horse Temple, the first Buddhist temple in China.
