This morning we drive to Longsheng. Here, we explore the rice terraces of the Dragon’s Backbone! Beginning at the base of Mt Longji the verdant green rice fields coil the steep mountain layer upon layer climbing to its summit. Where there is soil a terrace has been made! Taking a walk along the stone paths no more than a metre wide, we climb skyward to enjoy panoramic views of the ribbon like terraces with picturesque valleys and meandering streams below. Later today, we drive back to Guilin.
This morning, enjoy a trip to the Reed Flute Caves adn Elephant Trunk Hill before flying to Chongqing to board your Yangtze River Cruise.
Good morning from the River Yangtze! At 6340km in length, the Yangtze is the 3rd longest river in the world, neatly dividing China into north and south, and wending its way through eight very different provinces. Enjoy spectacular vistas passing through all of the famous Gorges Qutangxia Gorge, Wuxia Gorge, Xiling Gorge on your way to Yichang.

After a morning shore excursion to visit the Three Gorges Dam we disembark from our cruise. We have a long afternoon of travel ahead of us and will stop for lunch en-route. After driving to Wuhan (approx 4 hours).
We visit the Yellow Crane Tower before transferring to the airport for your flight to Xi'an, where you are met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.
Today, enjoy touring of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Old City Wall. Peering from the Old City Wall offers spectacular, if not unique views of the city and residence going about their daily lives. After visiting the wall head down into the Muslim Markets.
Xi’an is Shaanxi Province is perhaps most famous for Emperor Qin’s Terracotta Warriors. Discovered in 1974 by local farmers digging a well, the 7,000 life-sized soldiers, some 2,200 years old, stand battle-ready in excavated pits under the cover of a modern protective hanger. We tour the archaeological site and Terracotta warrior replica workshop then fly to Beijing. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.
This morning, we tour the centre of Beijing including the massive Tiananmen Square and the sprawling Forbidden City. Boasting some 9999 rooms, the city within a city was once the sole preserve of the Chinese emperors. Afternoon rickshaw ride through the Hutongs of Beijing and we pay a visit to the Wangfujing Night Market.
Today, we drive beyond Beijing to Badaling, to walk a section of the famous Great Wall. Built in the Ming Dynasty, a 6m wide pathway makes a formidable defence, following the highest contours of a steep range of hills. We enjoy the Ming Tombs and The Sacred Way.
Touring today including the Temple of Heaven and the Emperor's Summer Palace, set on Kunming Lake. Tonight, we attend a Chinese acrobatic performance.
