Day 1: Beijing

Huan ying, welcome to China and the start of your journey of a lifetime through the Orient! When you arrive at Beijing airport our local guide and driver await to transfer you to your hotel. The remainder of today is at your leisure.

Great Wall

Day 2: Beijing

Lets start your voyage with the most iconic site of all, The Great Wall Of China! Today we transfer out of the city to visit a less touristy section of the wall called Jinshinlang. Here, we take a walk or maybe even a climb? the choice is yours on some of the lesser visited parts of the wall - a much more fulfilling and intimate experience! When you have walked enough you return to Bejing. This evening we will take you to the Acrobatics show. Enjoy the amazing feats the acrobats achieve!

Forbidden City

Day 3: Beijing

Today you will set out to sightsee the nation's capital, starting with Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Tiananmen Square - home to the Monument of the People's Heroes. The Forbidden CIty - so called as it was only visited by people on Imperial business up until 1911 - is a vision in grandeur with yellow roofs, vermilion walls and the innermost sanctum of Beijing. This afternoon you will walk through the Summer palace with it's many temples, grand halls and courtyards before visiting the Temple of Heaven to conclude the day. We conclude the day with a visit to the Hutongs of Beijing.

Day 4: Beijing - Xi'an

This morning a transfer to the train station in time for you to catch the 08:21 G653 train to Xian. Enjoy taking in the scenery on the five hour journey to Xian. Arriving in the city at 14:11, our local team are there to meet and greet and take you to your hotel. This evening enjoy a walk in the Muslim Quarter then enjoy a walk to the night food markets where you can try some fantastic regional food.

Day 5: Xi'an - Shanghai

This morning you will be first in line to visit the warriors site. After, a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda before a leisurely bike ride around the City Wall, which dates from the Ming Dynasty. This evening you will be taken to Xian North station for the sleeper train to Shanghai (No day train exists)

Day 6: Shanghai

Focus your eyes on spectacular Shanghai. Perhaps, China’s most modern city, its amazing Pudong skyline is stunning. The day is free for your to relax. (OVERNIGHT AT THE MANSION HOTEL)

Day 7: Shanghai

After breakfast at your hotel, we take a tour of the many city sights including Yuyuan Garden, Jade Buddha Temple and The Bund, with a cruise on the Huangpu River. (OVERNIGHT AT THE MANSION HOTEL)

Day 8: Shanghai - Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore. This evening you travel on the sleeper train to Hunagshan.

Day 9: Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)

After a morning arrival into Huangshan City you are transferred to the Yellow Mountain Scenic Area and board the cable car to the mountain. Enjoy spectacular views of the peaks including Shixin Peak, Lion Peak, Refreshing Terrace and Monkey gazing at the Sea Peak. You spend the night in Xihai on the mountain.

Day 10: Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)

We spend the whole day with an expert guide in the mountains exploring and admiring the various scenic areas such as Clouds Dispelling Pavilion, Xihai Grand Canyon, Flying Top and Bright Top Peak.

Day 11: Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)

Enjoy a free day to explore the region at your leisure.

Day 12: Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) - Guilin

Early this morning you take the cable car back down the mountain and visit an old street of the Song Dynasty before taking driving to Hangzhou airport for your flight to Guilin. On arrival in Guilin we will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 13: Guilin - Longsheng

We will transfer you through to Longsheng. Enjoy a full day walking at a pace that suits you, on the breathtakingly beautiful Dragons Backbone Rice Terraces.

Day 14: Longsheng

Enjoy a day with your guide to visit local rural villages and meet the locals.

Days 15-18: Longsheng - Yangshuo

Today we drive to Yangshuo. Arriving here, check into your hotel. Enjoy free time in Yangshuo for the next days which offers a world of opportunity for exploring the great outdoors. With breath-taking beauty, striking limestone mountain scenery and pure clean rivers, one can choose to go swimming or tubing down the Yu Long River, hike or hire a bicycle or motorbike and head off on one of the many mountain trails.

Day 19: Yangshuo - Yangtze & Three Gorges

This morning we drive to Guilin. Here, visit the Reed Flute Cave. Home to enchanting stalagmites, stone pillars, stele, stone curtains and stone flowers. Then we continue on to Elephant Trunk Hill Located at the confluence of the Taohua (Peach Blossom) River and the Li River. We then proceed to the airport for your flight to Chongqing and embark your Yangtze Cruise.

Days 20-21: Yangtze & Three Gorges

Good morning from the River Yangtze! At 6340km in length, the Yangtze is the 3rd longest river in the world, neatly dividing China into north and south and wending its way through eight very different provinces. The Gorges are a breathtaking sight! for today and tomorrow enjoy sailing the gorges, shore excursions organised by the cruise and all the services and facilities on board.

Day 22: Yangtze & Three Gorges - Hong Kong

After a morning visit to the Three Gorges Dam site you disembark in Yichang around 13:30. We then transfer to either Yichang or Wuhan airports for the direct flight to Hong Kong Arriving in the PM you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 23: Hong Kong

Enjoy a day at leisure to explore Hong Kong.


Day 24: Hong Kong

Today sadly your voyage comes to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home.
