Day 1: Hong Kong

Welcome to Hong Kong. Arriving here a local rep will meet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 3: Hong Kong - Yangshuo

Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Guilin. On arrival we transfer you to Yangshuo only 1hr and half drive away. Arrival and check into your hotel.

Today enjoy an included sailing trip on a bamboo raft on the Yulong river, your guide will then take you to see the cormorant fisherman. This evening enjoy the impressions show that the theatrical/dance performance utilizes the natural surroundings to create a spectacular outdoor theatre which is the largest of its kind.

Day 5: Yangshuo - Guilin

This morning we drive to Longsheng. Here, we explore the rice terraces of the Dragon’s Backbone! Beginning at the base of Mt Longji the verdant green rice fields coil the steep mountain layer upon layer climbing to its summit. Where there is soil a terrace has been made! Taking a walk along the stone paths no more than a metre wide, we climb skyward to enjoy panoramic views of the ribbon like terraces with picturesque valleys and meandering streams below. Then drive to Guilin for the night.

Day 6: Guilin - Anshun

This morning you pay a visit to The Reed Flute Cave Within the cave there are enchanting stalagmites, stone pillars, stele, stone curtains and stone flowers. Then we continue on to Elephant Trunk Hill Located at the confluence of the Taohua (Peach Blossom) River and the Li River, this Hill is too famous to be missed. We then fly to Guiyang. Arrival transfer to your hotel in Anshun City (1 hr 30 min drive).

Day 7: Anshun

Enjoy a full day with your guide to explore Huangguoshu Waterfall National home to one of the largest waterfalls in China and East Asia. The day will cover scenic waterfalls and stunning landscapes. Return to your hotel in the evening for some much earned rest.

Day 8: Anshun - Chengdu

Taking to the sky we return to Guiyang and fly to Chengdu - Arrival and check into your hotel. (Long day with connection in a city to be confirmed)

Day 9: Chengdu

Today we enjoy a full day visit to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding a short drive out of town.

Day 10: Chengdu

This morning we enjoy a visit to Leshan to see the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Dafo (Great Buddha), which is carved into the red sandstone face of Lingyun Hill overlooking the treacherous confluence of the Min, Qingyi and Dadu rivers below it. Late afternoon visit t to the Tibetan quarter, south of the city, frequented by very few tourists. The district teems with shops stocked to their roofs with heavy clothes, turquoise jewellery, prayer wheels, conches.

Day 11: Chengdu - Yangtze & Three Gorges

Today you fly to Chongqing. Arrival and your guide will take you for a visit around the city followed by dinner. Embark your cruise and get settled in.

Days 12-13: Yangtze & Three Gorges

Enjoy today and tomorrow cruising the river. Whilst cruising, shore excursions are offered at no additional expense so sit back and enjoy the unique scenery and four natural gorges. Drift serenely along the stream in small, open ‘pea pod boats’, looking out upon lush greenery, jagged peaks and ancient villages of the Tujia people - one of the local ethnic minorities.

Day 14: Yangtze & Three Gorges - Shanghai

After a morning shore excursion to visit the Three Gorges Dam we disembark from our cruise. Then head to the airport for your flight to Shanghai - Arrival transfer to your hotel.
