Welcome to China and the start of your holiday! Enjoy an arrival transfer to your hotel, where you sit back and relax after your long flight.
Today is a big day exploring China's capital. First off we will head to the Imperial, or Forbidden, Palace - one of the finest examples of Chinese architecture then Tiananmen Square followed by the UNESCO Summer Palace which is situated on Kunming Lake where you enjoy a boat ride. Tonight enjoy a Peking Duck dinner banquet at a great local restaurant.
On with your walking shoes! We head out about 45 miles from Beijing, to the Mutianyu Great Wall section. Mutianyu Great Wall winds 1.4 miles through lofty mountains and high ridges, many sections of which are made of granite your guide will show you the way. After some lunch we visit the Tombs of the Ming Emperors before returning to Beijing. Evening at leisure.
Another fun packed day starting with a visit to the Temple of Heaven. Then, we take to cycle rickshaws to explore the Hutongs of Beijing which gives us a fascinating snapshot of the city’s traditional way of life. There is time to meet a local family and take a peek inside their home. Afte, we visit the Beijing Drum Tower and enjoy a tradtional drum performance. Tonight we fly to Xian.
Today, we visit the archaeological site of the Terracotta Warriors, Huanqing Hot Springs, a scenic spot in the shadow of Li Mountain and a workshop where crafts people make clay warrior replicas. Tonight we enjoy a traditonal Tang Dynasty Theatre performance with dinner.
Setting out after breakfast to begin Exploring the city, we visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, enjoy a bike ride on top of the City Wall and check out the Muslim Quarter and Great Mosque. After, we visit Xian's Bell and Drum Towers before transffering to the airport for your flight to Kunming. Arriving here we transfer you to your hotel.
Full day excursion to Stone Forest. Celebrated as a natural wonder, it’s Yunnan’s most visited sight. As you stroll along the winding paths and lookout points, you’ll be in awe of the bizaare, tightly packed formations of almost ‘petrified’ stone that forms this unusual attraction 120 km from Kunming.
This morning we fly to Lijiang and drive to Zhongdian (Shangri La) on the way we visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge which is the worlds deepest canyon the walk along the canyon edge and surrounding scenery is stunning, then onto Shigu (the First Bend of Yangt-Ze River). Arriving in Zhongdian evening is at your leisure.
Enjoy a full day touring the area after a hearty breakfast. The highlights will include Song Zanglin Lamasery, the very beautiful Shuoduhai Lake, Bita Meadow which is an intact natural attraction with various species of flora and fauna and picturesque landscapes. After, we see how life is for the Tibetans before flying back to Kunming. Arrive Kunming and transfer you to your hotel.
Today we fly to Guilin, Arriving here our local team meets you and transfers you to Yangshuo. Remainder of the day at leisure.
Taking to China's best form of transport bicycles we set out to visit surrounding villages and the farmers homes whom will be happy to meet and talk of there lifes. Later, we enjoy rafting on traditional bamboo rafts on the Yulong River. Evening you can opt and pay locally for the impression show in the natural amphitheatre on the river Li or have free time.
This morning we will venture to Longsheng for a full days touring of the highlights of this area which will include primarily the Dragons Backbone rice terraces, Longsheng town and surrounding villages we then transfer to Yangshou. Evening at your leisure.
This morning we visit the Reed Flute Cave and Fubo Hill before we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Hong Kong. (flight will not be before 3 pm) Arriving into Hong Kong end of our arrangments.
