Buddhist Temple

Day 1: Harbin

We will be there to meet you upon arrival at Harbin airport and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2: Harbin

Today we visit Sun Island Park for the Harbin Ice Festival. Carvers will still be adding final touches to their masterpieces. The range and details on the ice structures are quite incredible. We also visit Zhaolin Park to further view the creations.

Day 3: Harbin

Spend the day at leisure. Perhaps enjoy the festivities at the Harbin Snow and Ice World.

Day 4: Harbin - Shanghai

Free morning. Then we will transfer you to the airport for an afternoon flight to Shanghai. Here you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.

Day 5: Shanghai

Once known for its decadent magnetism that attracted fortune-seekers and adventurers, Shanghai looks like a European city in a Chinese setting. A stroll along the famous Shanghai Bund confirms this. Today, we visit the Oriental Pearl TV tower, explore the Jade Buddha Temple, charming Yuyuan Gardens, and enjoy a cruise on the Huangpu River.

Day 6: Shanghai - Zhouzhuang

Travelling west, we journey to Suzhou in Jiangsu Province. One of China’s most charming cities, it’s fame rests on it’s waterways, and canals that are dotted with traditional bridges, houses and gardens. A cruise on the Grand Canal exposes Suzhou’s beauty. Renown for it’s silk, we also visit a silk workshop and the Humble Administrators Garden. Transfer to Zhouzhuang for the evening.

Day 7: Zhouzhuang - Shanghai

At leisure in Zhouzhuang this morning. Then return to Shanghai by train, transfer to your hotel.

Day 8: Shanghai - Chengdu

Transfer to airport and fly to Chengdu. Here you will be met by your local guide and transfer you to your hotel. Free afternoon.

Day 9: Chengdu - Jiuzhaigou

This morning you fly to Jiuzhaigou, here you enjoy a tour of Jiuzhaigou Scenic Reserve.

Day 10: Jiuzhaigou

Today our sightseeing continues as we tour of Jiuzhaigou Scenic Reserve & Pearl Beach Falls, Nuorilong Falls and Long Lake.

Day 11: Jiuzhaigou - Chengdu

Morning flight back to Chengdu. Here we visit Dujiangyan Irrigation Scheme. We tour the dam site, view the Anlan Suspension Bridge and the Dragon Taming Temple.

Day 12: Chengdu

After breakfast you will venture to the Panda Centre. Located just 10km (6miles) away from downtown Chengdu, the Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Centre has been created and imitates the pandas' natural habitat in order that they might have the best possible environment for rearing and breeding. Afterwards, visit the Wuhou Memorial Temple, Tomb of Wang Jian and Jinli Lu street.

Day 13: Chengdu - Emei Shan

Today we drive to Leshan where we visit the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Dafo (Great Buddha). Then continue to Emei Shan (Mt Emei). Here we visit the Temple of Baoguo.

Day 14: Emei Shan - Chengdu

Enjoya cable car to the top of Mt Emei, and visit Wannian temple. Drive back to Chengdu.

Day 15: Chengdu - Kunming

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Kunming. Upon arrival in Kunming you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel to check in. Today we take you to visit the Western Hills in the surrounds of the city highlight of which is the Dragon Gate.

Day 16: Kunming - Dali

Today you visit the premier natural attraction of Kunming, Shilin, the Stone Forest, an exposed bed of limestone karst spires weathered and split into amazing clusters that take on the appearance of a petrified forest, on the way back to Kunming you will stop and visit Qi Cai Yunnan. Tonight you will travel by over night train to Dali.

Day 17: Dali

This morning we will meet you at the Railway Station and transfer you to the hotel. Today sightseeing in Dali and the surrounds includes a cruise on Lake Erhai, some orientation stops at some ancient temples and villages and the Butterfly Spring. Then off to the famous Three Pagodas, built when the region was a major Buddhist centre, Dali’s distinctively tall pagodas remain upright, despite wars and earthquakes. You'll also have some time to explore the Old Town.

Day 18: Dali - Lijiang

Leaving Dali, we travel 3 hours to Lijiang. The seat of the Naxi minority peoples, Lijiang lies north-west of Tibet in a fantastic mountain setting. The Naxi are a matriarchal society descended from a race of Tibetan nomads who settled the region before the 10th century. Today can enjoy free time in the Dayan Old Town and visit the Yufengsi Lamasery before watching a traditional performance of Naxi music in the evening.

Day 19: Lijiang

Today you discover Tiger Leaping Gorge (Hutiao Xia). Some 16km long and up to 3000m deep, it is the worlds deepest canyon. The gorge is so narrow at various points that legend has it a tiger once escaped pursuit by leaping across. visiting the gorge, you’ll have a chance to hike along a section of the stunning gorge and take in the dramatic, yet stark scenery.

Day 20: Lijiang - Kunming

Today enjoy an excursion to the stunning Jade Dragon Snow Mountain; its landscape includes one of the southernmost glaciers in the modern world. Shanzidou, the main peak of the mountain at 18,000 feet above sea level, looks like a gigantic dragon clad in white snow all year round. Access to the mountain is provided by a chairlift to Dragon Spruce Meadow, halfway to the glacier peak. Returning to Kunming by overnight train

Day 21: Kunming

Arrive in Kunming, we will meet you at the Railway Station and transfer to the hotel, breakfast in the hotel. We then visit the Flower and Bird market, free time in the afternoon.

Day 22: Kunming - Yangshuo

We transfer you to the airport for your flight to Guilin. Here you will be met by your local guide and transferred to Yangshuo. Afternoon at leisure to explore the local markets and village. Streets in Yangshuo are well kept in the original style, presenting the simple and primitive atmosphere of the ancient town. West Street is the most exciting one that locals call the 'Global Village'

Day 23: Yangshuo

Take rafting along the Yulong river. The afternoon is your own free time to explore Yangshou - laden with quirky shops, art studios, calligraphers, cafes and restaurants - you have all day to enjoy this small town.

Day 24: Yangshuo - Guilin

This morning we will venture to Longsheng for a full days touring of the highlights of this area which will include Dragons Backbone rice terraces, Longsheng town and surrounding villages, returning later to Guilin.

Day 25: Guilin

This morning you pay a visit to The Reed Flute Cave Within the cave there are enchanting stalagmites, stone pillars, stele, stone curtains and stone flowers. Then we continue on to Elephant Trunk Hill, Located at the confluence of the Taohua (Peach Blossom) River and the Li River, this Hill is too famous to be missed. We then take a boat on two rivers four lakes.

Day 26: Guilin

Today we transfer you to the airport for your onward departing flight. On the go arrangements end here.
