With a glamorous coastline of stunning islands, ancient walled ports and pristine interior wildernesses offering a range of sights and activities, Croatia has much to charm today’s traveller. Set sail on the Adriatic Sea from Split, Dubrovnik or Opatija stopping off at Croatia’s most beguiling islands on a relaxing week long sailing holiday. Apart from sailing holidays, we also offer a choice of fully guided or semi-independent touring in Croatia. Departing from Zagreb or Dubrovnik our Croatia tours offer a variety of mainland and island sights as well as the highlights of neighbouring Bosnia and Slovenia.
On our sailing holidays your boat docks in each day in a different town and and you'll enjoy wandering through age old streets where people still live as they have done for many years. Seek out local eateries, many of which serve up fabulous fresh seafood, visit a local farm and sample local delicacies at a village feast in Kuna, go wine tasting on the island of Korcula and soak up the sun and sea on Croatia's beautiful coast.
On our sailing trips, life on-board is a relatively casual affair. Each cruise itinerary features a mix of sailing, swim breaks and plenty of free time to relax on deck and soak up the sunshine. Arriving into a different port each afternoon or evening, the boat docks for the night and you'll be able to go off and independently explore the sights, shop, dine or party with other group members.
With an alluring mix of pretty beaches and sunny Mediterranean climate, ancient architecture and medieval cities, it’s no wonder that Croatia is one of Europe’s most appealing destinations. The country’s lush interior remains relatively undiscovered from mass tourism and delights with pristine lakes and travertine cascades in the stunning karst landscapes of the Krka and Plitvice national parks. The attractive capital of Zagreb offers a wealth of cultural attractions with excellent museums and summer line-up of festivals and is only a few hours away from the breathtaking Lake Bled in neighbouring Slovenia.
With a sublime stretch of coast on the Adriatic Sea studded with hundreds of picturesque islands, Croatia’s biggest attraction is sailing. Fringed with pristine turquoise waters, beautiful beaches and hidden coves, the islands also offer charming fishing villages, historical marina ports and countryside carpeted with acres of vineyards, all waiting to be discovered.
Life on-board our boats in Croatia is a relatively casual affair. Each sailing holiday features a mix of sailing, swim breaks and plenty of free time to relax on deck and soak up the sunshine. Our local captains and crew chart the boat, freshly prepare and serve your meals and help keep the boat clean and tidy.
On our tours we offer two styles of holiday - semi-independent and coach. On our semi-independent tours the days are free for you to independently explore the country and each evening there will be a soft bed to retire to. These tours also include all transfers on the mainland and islands plus ferry and catamaran tickets between islands. Our coach tours are guided by expert local tour leader and include guided sighting at all the best sights, in addition to complimentary airport arrival and departure transfer and many meals.
Hi OTG, Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed my recent trip to Croatia. I took the Dalmatian Discovery and enjoyed every minute. I particularly enjoyed Krka Waterfalls, Zadar and swimming on the reef. I was really impressed with the boat and the cabins and as I do on most boats - I slept like a baby. Thanks again On The Go!
