Holguin - Baracoa. Today we drive to Baracoa, a small seaside town surrounded by rich vegetation where a number of small rivers flow into the ocean. We can take an interesting walk through a small cacao farm, where they explain the process of making chocolate. This small town is deserted during the day but at night, livens up with salsa bars and clubs. it's off to Baracoa to begin our 3 night stay. Why not take a cruise on the River Toa whilst here?Baracoa - Santiago de Cuba. After three days in the town, we drive to Santiago de Cuba arriving late afternoon. Here you can enjoy a salsa lesson, or explore the cathedral, copper mine and museum. You have the option of visiting, the El Moro Castle, built to protect the city from marauding pirates with its stunning sea views and the famous church El Cobre, where people pilgrimage from all over Cuba to ask the deity's help and return to thank her.
In the evenings a popular place to visit is the famous Casa de la Trova for some live music, where many of the Buena Vista Social Club played before they became famous.
