Itinerary


Day 1: Ulaan Baatar
Arrival in Ulaan Baatar and transfer to the hotel. We have a city orientation tour and visit the Natural History Museum. In the evening, we enjoy a Mongolian folklore and dance show, followed by dinner. Overnight - hotel. 
 
Day 2: Terelj National Park
Ulaan Baatar - breakfast. After breakfast we visit Gandan monastery and Migjid Janraisag temple. After this, we head out to Terelj National Park, a pristine nature reserve, full of ger camps and unusual rock formations. We have lunch at a Ger Camp, after which we go to Turtle Rock and later have the opportunity to go horse riding. Late afternoon we drive back to Ulaan Baatar and have dinner this evening. Overnight - hotel.
 
Day 3: Ulaan Baatar
Ulaan Baatar - breakfast. Transfer to the airport and flight to Gobi (1.20 hrs). Transfer to the tourist camp and have an introduction to the surrounding area. Overnight - Ger camp.
 
Day 4: Canyon of Yolin Am
Today you will discover the tribune of nomads. We travel to Canyon of Yolin Am - canyon of a river (Valley of Eagle). Our trip today includes a visit the Nature museum and a camel breeding family. We have the chance to go Camel riding, before driving back to the Ger camp. Overnight - Ger camp.
 
Day 5: Bayanzag
Excursion to Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs) where it's possible to see the Saksaul forest in the desert, where complete dinosaur skeletons and fossilised eggs are still being found and also visit the Moltsog Els - the spectacular sand dunes. Overnight - Ger camp.
 
Day 6: Ulaan Baatar
Transfer to Dalanzadgad to the airport and fly back to Ulaan Baatar. Upon arrival we transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free. Overnight - hotel.
 
Day 7: Ulaan Baatar
Visit Bogd Khaan Winter Palace and the National History museum. Afterwards, time at leisure or pick up some souvenirs. Overnight - hotel.
 
Day 8: Ulaan Baatar
Transfer to airport or train station. Departure.
