Get off the beaten track on this special private tour taking in Egypt’s Western Desert visiting Bahariyya Oasis, the sparse White Desert, Kharga Oasis and the 4th Century necropolis of el-Bagawat before continuing to Luxor to explore the valley of the King’s and the west bank before cruising in style down the Nile on a deluxe cruiser bound for Aswan.

Day 1: Cairo
Arrive into Cairo and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day to spend at leisure. Overnight - Cairo
Today visit Giza Plateau and explore the pyramids and Sphinx. It is estimated Cheops (the largest of the pyramids) was constructed from no less than 2.5million quarried limestone blocks, weighing around 6 million tonnes. Later we explore Saqqara - an ancient necropolis with many half-buried tombs and the famous Zhoser's step pyramid. Overnight - Cairo (B)

Day 3: The Egyptian Museum & Bahariyya
This morning enjoy a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum before driving to Bahariyya, where you can watch a beautiful sunset over the rugged desertscape. Overnight - Bahariyya Oasis (B)
The White Desert
Days 4 - 5: The White Desert
Visit the Temple of Alexander the Great, Tombs of the Nobles and the Black Desert en route to the striking White Desert, which is your remote overnight base. The next morning travel to Dakhla, stopping en route to visit Farafra - the smallest oasis in the Western Desert, the medieval city of Al Qasr and Deir al-Haggar Roman Temple. Day 6: Kharga Oasis & Luxor
This morning journey to Kharga Oasis to see the Temple of Hibis and the rambling 4th century mud-brick necropolis of el-Bagawat before travelling to Luxor. Overnight - Luxor (B)

Day 7: The Valley of the Kings
Today take a tour of Luxor 's West Bank visiting the legendary Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. The Valley of the Kings is studded with often highly decorated tombs, constructed to once house the regal sarcophagi enclosed mummies of the mighty pharaohs, awaiting their passage into the after-life. Return to Luxor and check in onboard a deluxe Nile Cruiser before visiting the beautifully illuminated Luxor Temple at night. Overnight - Onboard Nile cruiser (B)
Days 8 - 9: Nile Cruising

Day 11: Abu Simbel
Enjoy a day at leisure in Aswan or take an optional air excursion to the colossal temple of Abu Simbel. Late afternoon board an overnight sleeper train back to Cairo. Overnight - Overnight train (B)
Day 12: Back to Cairo
