Hi On The Go,
I would just like to provide you with further feedback about a recent tour that I travelled on.
I would like to start off by mentioning that I am a travel agent in Australia and I have travelled on 15+ extended tours and countless day tours all around the World. During this time I have never met a guide that has the passion for their job or their Country as Haytham does. I work for a company where everyone is passionate about their jobs and travelling, and no one comes close to the passion that Haytham showed me and the rest of our group.
I also noticed that Haytham went above and beyond in making sure that everyone was comfortable, and had no issues with anything. Often calling us after check in to make sure everything was okay with the room. He also made sure that we had lunch at reasonable times and that we ate food that was at clean restaurants (ensuring that we did not get sick). There was a couple of occasions where our itinerary stated that we needed to arrange our own lunches, but were organised and paid for by Haytham.
Haytham was a wealth of knowledge and was able to answer any question that was thrown at him, he also had very interesting ways of getting this information across to us by 'role plays' which made it very fun and interesting.
I believe that Haytham is a huge asset to On The Go tours and you are very lucky to have such a knowledgeable and passionate employee.
We did fill out the feedback forms and I intend to post a review but in case I don't get around to it I wanted to let you know how impressed we were with On the Go. Everything was amazing - the tour guide, hotels, cruise ship, excursions and of course the country itself! The whole trip was so well organized, we never had to wait for anything. We will definitely travel with you guys again.
Thank you for arranging our Egypt/UK/Cyprus trip. It all went off without a single hitch.
I said I’d let you know about On the Go Tours. As far as we are concerned they get ten out of ten. We would certainly travel with them again.
Egypt is experiencing a massive downturn in tourist numbers at present which is desperate for them but great for us. Our river cruiser catered for 70 plus people but there were less than 20 on board. We were in a group of seven (all Australians).
The On the Go “Jewel of the Nile” was highly professional, well considered, friendly and well executed. We wanted for nothing. The train trip from Cairo to Luxor and return from Aswan to Cairo was pretty ordinary but we expected that and enjoyed it. The train food was awful so next time I would take my own. This was certainly outside the control of On the Go and was all part of the Egypt experience.
All the arrangements fell in to place magnificently, from meeting and greeting on pre-Day 1, all the touring and right up to final departure at the gates at Cairo airport. Our guide was a four year university graduate in Egyptology, with immense knowledge and the ability to keep it interesting … all in excellent English. The quality of the chosen hotels was excellent and, in fact, the hotel in Cairo (Fairmont Nile City) on the last night with its view of the sun setting over the Nile was the best hotel in which Pauline and I have ever stayed.
Overall, the quality of the whole experience was excellent value for money and Pauline and I would thoroughly recommend On to Go to any potential Egypt tourers.
