Day 1: Cairo
Welcome to Egypt! On arrival in Cairo you will be transferred to your hotel for check in. The rest of the evening is yours free to explore or simply relax and enjoy the hotel facilities.
Day 2: Cairo - Abu Simbel
This morning we begin our adventure south as we are transferred to the airport for our flight to Abu Simbel. On arrival in Abu Simbel you will be transferred to your hotel for check in.
Day 3: Abu Simbel - Lake Nasser
Today we board our Nile Cruise and tour the temples of Abu Simbel, possibly the most awe-inspiring temple of all ancient Egypt, built to revere the mighty King Ramses II. Enjoy a spectacular sound and light show at Abu Simbel before dinner by candle light on board.
Day 4: Lake Nasser
THis morning before we set sail you may opt to watch the spectacular sunrise at the temple of Abu Simbel (entrance fee not included) before we continue our journey. A modern feat of engineering, the High Dam contains 18 times the amount of material used in the construction of Cheops, the largest pyramid at Giza. The by-product for this awesome construction is Lake Nasser – the world’s largest artificial lake. This afternoon we set sail on Lake Nasser, to view Kasr Ibrim. This tour is conducted from the ship’s sundeck. This afternoon we visit the temples of Amada adn Derr adn the tomb of Penout before sailing to Wadi El Seboua for the night.
Day 5: Lake Nasser
This morning we vist Wadi El Seboua and enjoy a tour of the Temple of Dakka and the Temple of Meharakka. The Temple of Dakka was originally built in the 3rd Century BC and dedicated to Thoth- the God of Wisdom! From here we return to our cruise boat and continue on to Aswan for the evening.
Day 6: Lake Nasser
This morning we visit the Kalabsha Temple, Beit El Wali and the Kiosk of Kertassi. After breakfast we disembak and then you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Cairo.
