Day 1: Cairo - Alexandria

Welcome to Egypt! On arrival you will be met at the airport and transferred to Alexandria to being our adventure. On arrival in Alexandria we enjoy lunch at a local Greek Club before embarking on a half day tour of Alexandria Library. This evening is yours free to relax.

Day 2: Alexandria

This morning visit take a guided tour of the Roman catacombs - the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt, which were discovered accidentally in 1900 when a donkey disappeared through the ground. Also visit Pompeii’s Pillar and the Roman Amphitheater. This evening enjoy a Set-Menu dinner at Byblos Restaurant.

Day 3: Alexandria - Cairo

This morning we continue on to El Alamein. Located on the Mediterranean coast, just 4 hours north of Cairo, lies El Alamein, where two extended battles were fought during World War II. The first began on the 1st July 1942 and lasted for 27 days, it ended as a stalemate. After 3 months of holding the defences the Allies launched a second attack which lasted for 13 days. This saw the Allied forces push back the Axis powers for ultimate defeat in Tunisia. Some 13,000 Allied soldiers were killed and 70,000 were wounded in the battle. We visit the well tendered Commonwealth War Cemetery before we head back to Cairo for an A La Carte Dinner at Khan El Khalili Resturant.

Day 4: Cairo

Today we visit Egypt's most loved sight - The Great Pyramids of Giza. We explore the Giza plateau, pyramids and massive lion-headed Sphinx. Before visit to the Solar Boat Museam. This evening we enjoy a sound and light show in Giza before an A La Carte Dinner at Khan El Khalili Resturant.

Day 5: Cairo - Luxor

This morning you will be met at your hotel and transferred to the airport for your flight to Luxor. On Arrival in Luxor you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for Check in. This evening enjoy a set-menu BBQ dinner before free time to relax.

Day 6: Luxor - Nile Cruising

Today we leave land and board our Nile Cruise. You will be transferred from you hotel to the cruise and will enjoy lunch on board. After lunch we visit the Karnak Temple- More than a temple, it’s a gigantic and stunning complex of sanctuaries and pylons dedicated to the Theban gods.

Day 7: Nile Cruising

Waking up to a beautiful Nile River view, today we visit the West bank of Luxor taking in the the Valley of the Kings, Tutankhamoun Tomb, Madinet Habu, Hatshepsut temple and Colossi of Memnon- a massive pair of statues that stand silent against the backdrop of history. We enjoy lunch as we sail onto Esna. This evening we have welcome cocktails on board.

Day 8: Nile Cruising

This morning we sail to Edfu. We enjoy breakfast on board before we take a tour of the Edfu Temple dedicated to the falcon headed 'sky' God Horus. We continue our sail to Kom Ombo where we enjoy a guided tour of the Temple of Kom Ombo - dedicated to the crocodile headed god - Sobek. We finish our day on board our cruise as it winds its way up along the Nile to Aswan.

Day 9: Nile Cruising

An early morning rise for your flight down to Abu Simbel possibly the most awe-inspiring temple of all ancient Egypt, with its gigantic rock–cut façade, was created to revere the mighty ruler Ramses II. After we visit the mighty High Dam – a modern feat of engineering - creating the world’s largest artificial lake, Lake Nasser. We also tour the Philae Temple & Unfinished Obelisk- believed to have been sanctioned by the Pharaoh Hatsheput it was to be 3 times bigger than any other Obelisk in Egypt until the project was abandoned due to cracks appearing in the granite. This afternoon we take a Felucca ride around Kitchener Island before enjoying a Nubian style show after dinner.

Day 10: Nile Cruising - Cairo

This morning we disembark our cruise This morning we catch our return flight to Cairo where we spend the afternoon at the Egyptian Museum. This evening we enjoy and a la carte dinner at our hotel.

Day 11: Cairo - Amman

Today we say good bye to Egypt as we are transferred to the airport to catch our flight to Amman. (Flight not included). On arrival in Amman you will be met at the airport and transferred to Amman where we will enjoy a city tour including the Citadel and Archaeological Museum. The rest of the evening is yours free to enjoy at your leisure.

Day 12: Amman

Today we tour to Jerash, the worlds best preserved Roman provincial city is know as the 'Pompeii of the East'. Here we visit the Forum, with its forest of towering columns and the Arean, where the tracks of the chariot wheels can still be seen. We also tour Umm Qais, a dramatic black-basalt Roman City before returning to Amman.

Day 13: Amman - Petra

Today we visit Mt Nebo to take in the views of the Promised Land. Later we explore the roman ruins and beautiful mosaics of Umm ar-Rasas. The mosaic floor of the Church of St Stephen dates to 785, over 150 years after Muslim rule was established in Jordan, and depicts the cities of the day including Jerusalem, with Palestinian cities below such as Nablus and Gaza and seven Trans-Jordanian cities including Philadelphia (modern-day Amman), Madaba and Karak. We also explore Madaba's Archaeological Park. Tonight perhaps take our holiday enhancement option of Petra By Night. Day 14: Petra

Today we tour the Rose City of Petra. We access the hidden archaeological treasures of the Rose City on a walk through a narrow, deep siq, where the rocks finally give way to reveal the famous facade of Al-Khazneh (the Treasury). Continuing our walk, we’ll then go on to explore chunks of this fantastic once-lost city which is full of tombs, temples, an impressive amphitheatre and a Roman colonnaded street. The intrepid can ascend the hundreds of rock-cut steps to Ad-Deir. Better known as the Monastery, Ad-Deir has a similar facade to that of the Treasury, but is far bigger. Day 15: Petra - Dead Sea

We continue our journey today to Wadi Rum for a 2 hour Jeep Safari in the desert. Consider including a camel ride through the desert whilst you enjoy the solitude and scenery of the desert. This afternoon we continue to the dead sea for to relax on our last days in Jordan.

Day 16: Dead Sea - Amman

This morning is yours to relax in the Dead Sea or on the beach untill we are transferred back to Amman to our hotel for check in.

Day 17: Amman

Today is a free day to explore Amman at your own pace.

Today is more free time in Amman until our arrangements end with a departure transfer to the airport.
