Pyramid at Giza

Day 1: Cairo

Welcome to Cairo home of the Ancient Pharaohs. Upon arrival you will be met by our local representatives and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2: Cairo

Enjoy a half day tour where we will take you to visit the famous pyramids and lion-headed Sphinx at Giza Plateau. Sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World, the pyramids are the planet’s oldest tourist attraction! Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct.

Day 3: Cairo - Aswan

Saying good bye to the capital you will be transferred in time for your domestic flight to Aswan. Upon arrival into Aswan you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure independently.

Day 4: Aswan

This morning after breakfast a visit out of town takes us to the mighty High Dam – a modern feat of engineering, the by–product for which is Lake Nasser, the world’s largest artificial lake! Spend the afternoon at your leisure why not go exploring the local markets independently.

Day 5: Aswan - Luxor

Leaving Aswan we will transfer you to Luxor the site of the Ancient Egyptian city of Thebes. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Valley of the Kings

Day 6: Luxor

After breakfast you will visit the west bank and the Valley of the Kings. Here you will marvel at the Colossi of Memnon you will also visit Hatshepsut temple. Finally Karnak Temple comprising of a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings.

Day 7: Luxor - Cairo

Today you will be transferred to the airport in time for your flight back Cairo. Upon arrival you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your accommodation. Relax for the rest of the day spent your way.

Day 8: Cairo

Today take a half day excursion to the Egyptian Museum with your local guide. The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities contains many important pieces of ancient Egyptian history. It houses the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities.

Day 9: Cairo - Alexandria

Carry on your Egyptian affair with a day tour to amazing Alexandria on the Mediterranean Coast. Founded by Alexander the Great, Alexandria boasts wonderful beaches and an impressive seafront corniche, along which are dotted cafes and restaurants, as well as catacombs, souks and relics from a bygone age. Whilst in Alexandria, take a guided tour of Pompeii’s Pillar and drive past the impressive Library of Alexandria, to the gates of the great Montazzah Palace, home to King Farouk.

Day 10: Alexandria

Today is a free day for you to relax.

Day 11: Alexandria - Cairo

Enroute back to Cairo we visit El Alamein, a historic battle ground that played an important role in the Second World War. Here some 13,000 British and Commonwealth soldiers gave their lives in two extended battles, and today their sacrifice is commemorated in a desert war cemetery with row upon row of grave stones and memorials to British, Australian and New Zealand soldiers. On site also visit an enlightening local war museum, which tells the story of El Alamein through war memorabilia. The gardens outside of the museum are scattered with huge army tanks and large scale weaponry that were used during the battles of El Alamein. Inside there are five halls, each dedicated to a country involved in the war, with uniforms, weapons, models and records on display.

Day 12: Cairo

Today is free for you to relax and make the most of your remaining time in this great city. Sunbake by the pool, independently haggle for some last souvenirs or perhaps just breathe in the atmosphere of modern Middle East.

Day 13: Cairo

Saying good bye to the home of the Pyramids and Pharaohs you will be transferred in time for your departure flight to your next destination.
