Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday. We will be there to meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Today we will take you to visit the famous pyramids and lion-headed Sphinx at Giza Plateau. Sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World, the pyramids are the planet’s oldest tourist attraction! Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct. Continuing to Saqqara for more sights.
Today we enjoy some more sightseeing of Cairo. We will visit old Cairo and the Islamic Quarter. We will also take you to Heliopolis to explore this area.
Free morning, before then driving Bahariyya in the Western Oasis. Situated in a 2000 sq km depression about 330km south-west of Cairo is Bahariyya Oasis. This Oasis consists of several colonies of palm trees and was created many thousand years ago, long before the first Nile civilisations, when the Nile’s course used to pass that way.
Continuing by desert 4 x 4, we drive to the Crystal Mountain - a large rock formation made from sparkling quartz. Next we head to the Black Desert – to see the large volcano-shaped mountains which are covered with small black stones on a base of orangy red sand. Our next destination – the White Desert (Sahra al-Beida) is so-named as it region of striking blinding-white rock formations shaped by wind erosion.
This morning you can choose to lie in or wake up early and view the sunrise - as the sun creeps above the horizon the white chalk turns into beautiful shades of pink and orange. After breakfast and some time to explore we are transferred back to Cairo and arrive in the city at approximately 5pm. Here you will have a chance to freshen up before boarding your overnight train to Aswan.
Welcome to Aswan when you arrive at the station we will be there to meet you and transfer you to your hotel, after a short rest we will take you sightseeing to the Aswan high dam and the Temple of Philae. Afterwards enjoy a trip on a traditional sailing boat called a felucca to visit the nearby islands of Kitchener and Elephantine. Remainder of the evening free time to relax.
Today we travel to Luxor by road, stopping along the way at Kom Ombo and Temple of Edfu. On arrival into Luxor you will be transferred to your hotel. Later this evening we take you sightseeing to the Luxor Temple which is beautifully illuminated at night time.
This morning early enjoy a hot air balloon flight and see the city come alive. We land on the West Bank and begin our sightseeing. We see the Colossi of Memnon. These are all that remain of the temple of Amenophis III. We then proceed to visit the Valleys of the Kings and Queens and Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.
We visit the magnificent Temple of Karnak. More than a temple, it’s a gigantic and stunning complex of sanctuaries and pylons dedicated to the Theban gods. Free afternoon.
Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Sharm (via Cairo). Upon arrival we will collect you and transfer you to your hotel in Dahab. Enjoy your time in the Dahab soaking up the sun, dipping in the warm waters of the Red Sea you can opt to go snorkelling or diving or just lay back on your sunlounger.
This morning we take you sightseeing to St Katherine's Monastery, before returning you to your hotel for free time.
Today we transfer you to Sharm for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival we will collect you and transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Today you will enjoy a visit to the Khan el Khalili markets and then on to see the dazzling antiquities of ancient Egypt at the Egypt Museum.
Today we drive to Alexandria for a full day of sightseeing. Founded by Alexander the Great, Alexandria boasts wonderful beaches and an impressive seafront corniche, along which are dotted cafes and restaurants, as well as catacombs, souks and relics from a bygone age.
Free morning to explore more of Cairo. Then you will be privately transferred back to Caro.
