Day 1: Cairo

Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday. We will be there to meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 2: Cairo

Today we will take you to visit the famous pyramids and lion-headed Sphinx at Giza Plateau. Sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World, the pyramids are the planet’s oldest tourist attraction! Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct. Here we enjoy a short camel ride across the desert. We then continue to Saqqara for more sights.

Day 3: Cairo - Bahariyya Oasis

After breakfast, we travel to Bahariya, around 350km taking approximately 4 hours.

Day 4: Bahariyya Oasis - White Desert

Today we depart at 9.00 am to visit the Temple of Alexander the Great, Tombs of the Nobles, the Black Desert and the Crystal Mountain en route to the White Desert, arriving approximately 5pm. So named as the sand resembles snow, the striking White Desert is full of unusual wind-eroded limestone formations. Enjoy a break and relax with a picnic lunch en route.

Day 5: White Desert

Today we continue by 4x4, departing at 9pm to drive to Farafra oasis where you can enjoy a dip in the natural springs at Beir Seta. We stop for a picnic lunch before continuing on to Farafra, arriving at approximately 3pm. Tonight we stay at either the Badawia or Aqua Sun, subject to availability at the time of booking.

Day 6: White Desert - Cairo

Today we return to Cairo, the 550km journey taking around 6 hours. This afternoon enjoy a guided tour to the Egyptian Museum to see the dazzling antiquities including the treasures of King Tutankhamen and his famous solid gold funerary mask.

Day 7: Cairo - Aswan

It is an early start this morning to transfer to the airport for your flight via Aswan to Abu Simbel. Enjoy guided sightseeing for around 2 hrs then you free to explore what should have been one of the seven wonders of the world. Afterward fly back to Aswan where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 8: Aswan

Today we will take you sightseeing to the Aswan High Dam and the Temple of Philae, approximately 4-5 hours sightseeing. Remainder of the day is free time to relax, maybe explore the local spice market.

Day 9: Aswan - Luxor

Today our drive to Luxor takes 5-6 hours. En route we visit Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples. After hotel check in and time to relax, this evening to visit the Temple of Luxor which is beautifully illuminated at night.

Day 10: Luxor - Hurghada

Today the massive pair of statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments we will see as we arrive on the West Bank for our half day sightseeing. These are all that remain of the temple of Amenophis III. We then proceed to visit the Valleys of the Kings and Queens and the imposing colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This afternoon we depart destined for the Red Sea resort town of Hurghada, the drive takes around 3 hours, arriving in the early evening.

After breakfast and hotel check out, it is time to bid a fond farewell to Egypt. We will transfer you to the airport for your domestic flight to Cairo airport to connect with your international departure.
