Day 1: Cairo

Arrive into Cairo and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day to spend at leisure.

Today visit Giza Plateau and explore the pyramids and Sphinx. It is estimated Cheops (the largest of the pyramids) was constructed from no less than 2.5million quarried limestone blocks, weighing around 6 million tonnes. Later we explore Saqqara - an ancient necropolis with many half-buried tombs and the famous Zhoser's step pyramid.

Day 3: Cairo - Bahariyya Oasis

This morning enjoy a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum before driving to Bahariyya, where you can watch a beautiful sunset over the rugged desertscape.

Day 4: Bahariyya Oasis - White Desert

Visit the Temple of Alexander the Great, Tombs of the Nobles and the Black Desert en route to the striking White Desert, which is your remote overnight base.

Day 5: White Desert - Dakhla Oasis

This morning travel to Dakhla, stopping en route to visit Farafra - the smallest oasis in the Western Desert, the medieval city of Al Qasr and Deir al-Haggar Roman Temple. You can also opt for a dip in the hot springs. Overnight at the Badawyia Hotel.

Day 6: Dakhla Oasis - Luxor

This morning journey to Kharga Oasis to see the Temple of Hibis and the rambling 4th century mud-brick necropolis of el-Bagawat before travelling to Luxor.

Day 7: Luxor - Nile Cruising

Today take a tour of Luxor 's West Bank visiting the legendary Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. The Valley of the Kings is studded with often highly decorated tombs, constructed to once house the regal sarcophagi enclosed mummies of the mighty pharaohs, awaiting their passage into the after-life. Return to Luxor and check in onboard a deluxe Nile Cruiser before visiting the beautifully illuminated Luxor Temple at night.
