Welcome to Egypt! On arrival at the airport in Cairo you will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon and evening is yours free to enjoy!
Today we take a full day of touring the main sights in Cairo! We first start with the Egyptian Museum and the Great Pyramids of Giza. Sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World, the pyramids are the planet’s oldest tourist attraction! Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct.
This morning you will be met at the hotel and transferred to the airport to board our flight to Abu Simbel. On arrival in Abu Simbel you will be met at the airport and transferred to your Nile cruise for boarding. After lunch we take a tour to the temple of Abu Simbel. Possibly the most awe-inspiring temple of all ancient Egypt, with its gargantuan rock-cut facade is the magnificent Abu Simbel. Guarding the entrance to the temple are 4 colossal seated statues of the pharoah himself, staring out across Lake Nasser. We then return to the cruise for a welcome cocktail before returning to the temple of Abu Simbel for a spectacular sound and light show.
This morning you may opt to rise early and watch a spectacular sunrise at Abu Simbel. This morning is at your own leisure before we set sail for Kasr Ibrim. On arrival we will view the temple from the ship's sun deck as entrance to the site is prohibited.
This morning we sail to Amada. We take a morning tour to the temple of Amada and Derr as well as the tomb of Penout and viceroy of Nubia. Whilst you enjoy lunch the cruise continues to sail to Wadi El Seboua. On arrival we take a visit to Wadi El Seboua, and tour the temple of Dakka and the temple of Meharakka.
Today we sail to Aswan and enjoy a sipping a cocktail while crossing the Tropic of Cancer. This afternoon we visit the Kalabsha temple, Beit El Wali and the Kiosk of Kertassi- a small roman kiosk of which 6 of the original 14 pillars have survived.
This morning we disembark our cruise before a half day tour of the High Dam and Philae Temple. We then travel by road from Aswan to Luxor stopping along the way to at Kom Ombo and the Edfu Temple. The Edfu Temple is one of the best preserved temples in Egypt- dedicated to the Falcon headed God of the Sky- Horus.
Today we take a morning tour to the temple of Luxor founded in 1400 BC the temple is a large complex located on the East bank of the Nile. The rest of the day is yours free to enjoy Luxor.
Today we visit the other side of the Nile- touring the west bank. Today we take in the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens, Hatshepsut Temple and Memnon. This afternoon we visit the Karnak Temple- a spectacular open-air complex of sanctuaries, pylons, chapels, halls and obelisks, all dedicated to the Theban gods and to the greater glory of Egypt’s Middle and New Kingdom rulers is number two on the visitor ‘hit list’ after the pyramids and Sphinx at Giza.
This morning we transfer you to the airport in Luxor for your flight to Cairo. On arrival in Cairo you will be transferred to your hotel for free time.
This morning we say goodbye to Egypt as we are transferred to the airport for your flight home. Our arrangements end on arrival at the airport.
