Day 1: Cairo

Welcome to Egypt's capital and Africa's largest city: Cairo. Upon arrival you will be met and guided through passport control and baggage collection. After essential airport formalities you will be transferred directly to your hotel for your time in Cairo. Upon reaching the hotel we will assist with your check-in and then the evening is yours to relax and freshen up.

Day 2: Cairo

Today you will visit the famous pyramids and lion-headed Sphinx at Giza Plateau which are the sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World. Next we transfer over to explore the necropolis of Saqqara, Egypt's most enduring architectural legacy. Evening at leisure.

Day 3: Cairo

Early today we will take you to visit all the highlights of this city steeped in history quite unique to Egypt. Highlights include the Catacombs at Kom El Shoukafa and nearby Roman Ruins, Pompey's Pillar, Fort Qaitbay, Alexandria National Library and Montazah Palace Gardens. Return to Cairo by 8 pm.

Day 4: Cairo

After breakfast we head out to visit the famous Egyptian Museum, here you can enjoy a guided tour and free time to browse. We then enjoy an in-depth tour of Old Cairo, visit the old Coptic suspended Church and city of the dead, the oldest Synagogue of Ben Ezra, drive to the Citadel of Saladin, and visit the alabaster mosque of Mohammed Ali and more.

Day 5: Cairo - Nile Cruising

Today you will visit the not to be missed Temple of Abu Simbel -it's an early flight! Abu Simbel is one of the greatest Egyptianmonuments ever built which you see first on a guided tour. We fly into Aswan by noon and check in for lunch on board the cruise ship. After onto visit to Philae Temple and Aswan High Dam. Dinner & Entertainment on board docked in Aswan.

Day 6: Nile Cruising

Relax on the sun deck and enjoy the spectacular views and great facilities and service on board as the cruiser plies its course. Today you will disembark for a visit to The Temple of Kom Ombo which is dedicated to two gods, Sobek the crocodile God and Harveris the Sun God. Lunch, Dinner & Evening entertainment on board docked in Kom Ombo or edfu.

Day 7: Nile Cruising

This morning a visit to Edfu one of Egypt's best preserved temples then after passing through the Esna Lock we will reach Luxor - Egypt's open air museum. Afternoon visit to the Karnak Temple complex. This evening enjoy an excursion by horse and carriage of the beautiful Luxor Temple illuminated at night time it's ripe with photo opportunities.

Day 8: Nile Cruising - Dahab

This morning early enjoy an optional not included hot air balloon flight and see the city come alive. Floating over the nile you will land on the west bank your guide will meet you and take you on to visit the Valleys of the Kings and Queens, Temple of Hatshepsut. We return to Luxor you will stop by the colossi of Memnon. Evening flight to Sharm EL Sheikh (Via Cairo) arrival transfer to Dahab.

Days 9-11: Dahab

Enjoy your time in the Dahab soaking up the sun, dipping in the warm waters of the Red Sea you can opt to go snorkelling or diving or just lay back on your sunlounger on the hotels private beach sipping cocktails.

Day 12: Dahab

Early this morning we transfer to the foot of Mt Sinai for the 3hr hike to the top (will be hot) We then hike down to St Katherine s and enjoy a guided visit return to Dahab.

Day 13: Dahab - Petra

This morning, we transfer to Taba or Nuweiba to take the ferry crossing to Aqaba in Jordan. Arriving into Aqaba our Jordan team meets you and transfers you onto Petra. Check in and evening at leisure.

Day 14: Petra

Welcome to the Rose City! Enjoy the day with our expert guide walking down the gravel tracks, we’ll explore the ancient Nabatean tombs and the Roman rock-carved streets lined with temples, royal tombs, staircases, arched gates, public buildings and more.

Day 15: Petra - Wadi Rum

A chance to revisit Petra at your leisure without guide before our afternoon drive to Wadi Rum. A vast, silent landscape of ancient riverbeds, pastel coloured stretches of sandy desert and amazing rock formations. Enjoy a 3 hr 4x4 excursion to see it up close and enjoy dinner and overnight at our remote desert camp under a blanket of stars.

Day 16: Wadi Rum - Dead Sea

This morning, we visit Umm ar-Rasas, a haunted deserted city on the ancient caravan routes (no guide driver will simply drop you off). Continue from there onto the Dead Sea. This afternoon you have a couple of hours to be able to swim or float in the mineral rich waters.

Day 17: Dead Sea

Sit back and relax enjoy the dead sea.

We bid you farewell with a short 1 hr transfer to the airport in time for your flight home.
