Day 1: Cairo

Welcome to Egypt and the start of your Egyptian adventure! Arrive Cairo, included airport transfer to your hotel. Relax at your hotel or explore Cairo at your leisure for the remainder of today.

Day 3: Cairo - Dahabeya cruise

This morning take the flight to the ancient city of Luxor. Short transfer to Esna and board the Dahabeya, your home for the next seven nights. Meet your Captain, the crew and your fellow travellers for a welcome drink and meeting with your Egyptologist guide. Enjoy an afternoon tour to the East Bank. Sightseeing begins with a visit to Karnak Temple, followed by Luxor Temple.

Day 4: Dahabeya cruise

Today explore Luxor’s West Bank and the atmospheric Valley of the Kings. Also visit the Valley of the Queens and the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, passing the imposing Colossi of Memnon en route. In the afternoon sail in direction of El Hagz Island.

Day 5: Dahabeya cruise

Sit back, relax and soak up some sun as your Dahabeya cruises peacefully along the Nile.

Day 6: Dahabeya cruise

Today we continue sailing to El Kab to visit the ruins of one of Egypts oldest cities. We continue sailing to Edfu to visit the temple of Horus.

Day 7: Dahabeya cruise

Continue sailing to Gebel El Silsila where the stones for the temples in Egypt were quarried. After the tour we continue southwards and spend tonight at an island just outside Kom Ombo.

Day 8: Dahabeya cruise

Morning visit to Kom Ombo temple, a double temple that was dedicated to two distinct divinities - the crocodile-headed Sibek, god of fertility and creator of the world and Haroeris or the ancient falcon-headed Horus, the solar war god. Each of the two gods has their own entrance, court, chambers colonnade and sanctuary. The unusual double temple with its perfect symmetry, is still striking to see, despite the incomplete buildings, which have been destroyed over time by the Nile, earthquakes, Copts that used it as a church and builders who used the stones for other buildings. Later we continue sailing to Aswan.

Day 9: Dahabeya cruise

Take a leisurely boat ride out to Agilika island for a guided tour of the the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Enjoy the remainder of today at your leisure.

Day 10: Dahabeya cruise - Cairo

Bid farewell to your fellow travellers and the crew and disembark the Dahabeya after breakfast. Later, we visit Abu Simbel, possibly the most awe-inspiring temple of all ancient Egypt, with its gigantic rock–cut façade, was created to revere the mighty ruler Ramses II. Guarding the entrance to the temple, the 4 colossal statues of Ramses II sit majestically staring out across the desert, seemingly since time began. Later, we take an afternoon flight from Aswan back to Cairo and transfer to your hotel.

Day 11: Cairo

Today we visit the three great pyramids and Sphinx at the Giza Plateau. In front of the pyramids sits the immense Sphinx. Located just a stone's throw from Giza, is tomb-strewn Saqqara. Partially covered tombs, drifting sands and pyramids dotted across the horizon give way to the centre piece - that of King Zhoser's step pyramid.

Day 12: Cairo

Today we explore the famous Egyptian National Museum of Antiquities. In addition to witnessing the priceless funerary treasures of King Tutankhamen, including his legendary solid gold death mask, the museum boasts an amazing and certainly extensive collection of some 120 000 ancient Egyptian artifacts. We also visit the Citadel today.

We bid you farewell today and transfer you to the airport for flight home.
