Day 1: Cairo

Arrive Cairo Airport, meet & assist. Transfer to your hotel for check in. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Cairo

Today we will take you to visit the famous pyramids and lion-headed Sphinx at Giza Plateau. Sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World, the pyramids are the planet’s oldest tourist attraction! Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct. Continuing to Saqqara for more sights.

Day 3: Cairo - Alexandria

This morning you will drive to Alexandria on the Mediterranean Coast you will enjoy a full days sightseeing. Founded by Alexander the Great, Alexandria boasts wonderful beaches and an impressive seafront corniche, along which are dotted cafes and restaurants, as well as catacombs, souks and relics from a bygone age. We will visit the Catacombs, Pompay Pillar, Qait Bay Citadel & Montazah Gardens.

Day 4: Alexandria - Siwa Oasis

Leaving Alex behind, we head to El Alamein; we visit the war museum, the cemetery, we head to the coastal city of Marsa Matruh. After touring the city we have lunch. We start a 300km road to Siwa Oasis. Upon our arrival to Siwa, we check in our hotel. Tour the Local Market and the Palm Groves.

Day 5: Siwa Oasis

Using the local mode of transportation, (donkey drawn carts) we tour the palm groves, the old Siwan village of Shali, visit the mountain of the dead and the temple of Alexander the Great. We have lunch in a local restaurant under the palm trees. We return to our hotel. We tour, Cleopatra’s spring, and Temple of Aghrumi. The rest of the evening is free for shopping around for Siwan crafts and antiquities.

Day 6: Siwa Oasis - Bahariyya Oasis

Today we have an early breakfast, as we start our route to Bahariyya Oasis. We’ll use 4-wheel vehicles to go well off the beaten tracks and explore unusual landforms, remote oases (Baharein, Nawamisa, Sitra, and Arag), and remains of bygone civilizations, definitely the most interesting is passing through magnificent sand dunes of the Great Sand Sea. Our first stop is the Beautiful and uninhabited oasis of Baharein, we explore the once inhabited oasis, tour the catacombs. We continue our route alongside the lakes of Bahrein and sitra, we stop for pick nick lunch on route. Finally Bahariyya, home of the Valley of the Golden Mummies! (driving distance of 450km)

Day 7: Bahariyya Oasis - White Desert

We’ll plunge deep into the desert! We visit The Black Desert and its volcanic remains; the White Desert and its unusual limestone formations; Crystal Mountain. Unique oases, mummies, Roman ghost towns and pottery: the day will make the desert come alive as no book or video could ever do!

Day 8: White Desert - Dakhla Oasis

Upon arrival to Farafra oasis, youc an bath in the hot spring. We’ll even meet an artist who uses local products in his art. Leaving Farafra, we reach DAKHLA Oasis. Next in line is the Old Covered City, with its oil press, school, and courthouse and dwelling chambers. After lunch we visit the tombs of El Muzawaka, and Deir El Hagar we check in our hotel, In the evening, we enjoy the hot spring of Bir El Gabal.

Day 9: Dakhla Oasis - Luxor

After breakfast, we head to Kharga Oasis, the largest and closest to the Nile valley. We visit the Kharga museum, Hibis temple and El Bagawat Cemetery. After lunch we head to Luxor for the night.

Day 10: Luxor - Nile Cruising

Today you check out and we transfer you to your Nile Cruise boat where you spend the next 4 nights. This afternoon you visit the East Bank which includes Luxor and Karnak Temple.

Day 11: Nile Cruising

This morning we visit the West Bank – here we find the Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut Temple & Colossi of Memnon. Then we set sail and enjoy yourself onboard as your cruise sails to Esna during lunch.

Day 12: Nile Cruising

Continue sailing to Edfu where you visit Edfu temple. Lunch on board during sailing to Kom Ombo.

Day 13: Nile Cruising

This morning you visit Kom Ombo Temple. Enjoy lunch as you continue sailing to Aswan. Upon arrival you will visit the High Dam and Philae Temple. Also today enjoy a felucca ride around Kitchener’s island.

Day 14: Nile Cruising - Cairo

Today you head further south to the temples of Abu Simbel (return economy flights). After your sightseeing here you will return to Aswan by flight. Later transfer to Aswan railway station to board your sleeper train to Cairo.

Day 15: Cairo

Arrive Giza railway station, where we will collect you and you begin exploring more of Cairo. We enjoy a visit to the Egyptian Museum, Citadel and Khan El Khalili.

Day 16: Cairo

Transfer to Cairo Airport for final departure.
