Pyramid at Giza

Day 1: Cairo

Welcome to Egypt's capital and Africa's largest city: Cairo. Upon arrival you will be met and guided through passport control. After essential airport formalities you will be transferred directly to your pre booked hotel for your time in Cairo. Upon reaching the hotel we will assist with your check-in and then the evening is yours to relax and freshen up.

Day 2: Cairo - Aswan

A big day out at the pyramids and sphinx at Giza then a visit to the ancient tomb-strewn necropolis at Saqqara. We later enjoy a chance to relax, freshen up and have dinner. Tonight, we travel to Aswan by overnight train, 1st class recliner seat. Overnight - Oasis Hotel

Day 3: Aswan

Arrival and check into our hotel. Today, we visit the Aswan High Dam and travel by boat to Agilika Island to visit the Temple of Philae. Later, free time to hit the bazaars or relax by the swimming pool. Overnight - Sleeper Train

Day 4: Aswan - Felucca Cruise

Optional early morning air excursion to famous Abu Simbel. This afternoon, we board our Nile felucca for a 2 night cruise upstream toward Kom Ombo. Relax, top up your tan and chat with new friends as the felucca gently plies its route. Stops are made en route at local villages and at the waterside Temple of Kom Ombo. Overnight - Basma Hotel

Day 5: Felucca Cruise

Relax on the deck and enjoy the spectacular views and great facilities and service on board as the boat plies its course. Today you will disembark for a visit to The Temple of Kom Ombo which is dedicated to two gods, Sobek the crocodile God and Harveris the Sun God. Overnight - Felucca Cruise

Day 6: Felucca Cruise - Luxor

This morning a visit to Edfu one of Egypt's best preserved temples then after passing through the Esna Lock we will reach Luxor - Egypt's open air museum. When dusk draws near this evening you can choose to pay and enjoy an excursion of the Luxor Temple which is beautifully illuminated at night. Overnight - Felucca Cruise

Day 7: Luxor - Dahab

Optional hot air ballooning excursion over Luxor, before an early morning visit to the Valleys of the Kings and Queens and the colonnaded Temple of Hatshepsut. Taking a break, we later visit the giant Temple of Karnak. Later this afternoon, we travel by overnight bus to Dahab via Hurghada. Overnight - Isis Luxor

Day 8: Dahab

Arrival and hotel check-in. Diving, snorkelling, sun-worshipping, chilling, shopping - take your pick. Enjoy also an optional excursion to the Blue Hole, where you can snorkel and for the energetic - our optional excursion to Mt Sinai and St Katherine’s Monastery. Overnight - Overnight Bus

Day 9: Dahab

Day 10: Dahab - Wadi Rum

This morning, we transfer to Nuweiba to take the ferry crossing to Aqaba in Jordan. We travel on to Wadi Rum. Here we’ll jump aboard open-top 4 x 4s for our sunny, sandy and scenic adventure into Jordan’s wilderness. Tonight, we’ll enjoy an included Bedouin dinner and bed under a galaxy of stars at our remote camp. Overnight - Tropitel Hotel

The deep reds of the Treasury

Day 11: Wadi Rum - Petra

Welcome to the Rose City! Access to the city on our guided exploration is through the famous narrow, deep siq. The rocks then give way to the most amazing site – that of the fantastically impressive Treasury. Walking down the gravel tracks, we’ll explore the ancient Nabatean tombs and the Roman rock-carved streets lined with temples, royal tombs, staircases, arched gates and public buildings and more. Day 12: Petra

Today you will return to Petra. You will enter by al Madras, with visits to the High Place of Sacrifice, Wadi Farasa, Great Temple and the Royal Tombs. The more intrepid can ascend to Ad Deir better known as the monastery. Petra is endless and based on your preference and fitness your guide will show you many amazing highlights within the city. Relaxing in the Dead Sea

Day 13: Petra - Madaba

We descend to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on the earth’s surface. Here we have chance for a dip in the mineral-rich waters, which are famously buoyant, due to the high salinity. After lunch we drive to Mt Nebo, where we take in stunning views across the Promised Land. We visit Madaba - famed for its Byzantine mosaics. Here, if time permits you’ll have time to explore before dinner - a traditional Jordanian feast! Overnight - Petra Moon Hotel

Day 14: Madaba

Mentioned in the Old Testament, the prime attractions of Madaba are its many 6th-century Byzantine mosaics. The mosaic school, established to teach the restoration of these rare artworks, is the only one of its kind in the Middle East. There is plenty of time to wander about this ancient town and take in the sights. Overnight - Mosaic City Hotel

Day 15: Madaba - Jerusalem

This morning you’ll be picked up at 9:00am and transferred to the Jordanian border where after immigration formalities you will transfer by public shuttle bus over the border into Israel, here you’ll be met by a driver and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the ancient city of Jerusalem – a World Heritage site. Overnight - Mosaic City Hotel

Day 16: Jerusalem

Today we enjoy a guided tour of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Our first stop is the holy Mount of Olives where there are amazing panoramic views of the old city. We take a walking tour of the old city and continue on through the Christian quarter, visiting the famous Wailing Wall. Retrace the final laboured steps of Jesus, burdened under the weight of the cross. A short drive away is Bethlehem – the birthplace of Jesus. Overnight - Jerusalem Gold

Day 17: Jerusalem

Another full day of sightseeing. We take in the sights of Nazareth, the home of Joseph and Mary, visiting the famous Churches of the Annunciation and St. Joseph. Heading North via Cana – where Jesus turned water into wine, we reach the shores of the Sea of Galilee and visit the significant Christian sites of Capernaum, historic Tiberias and Tabgha - site of the legendary Sermon on the Mount and the feeding of the 5000. Overnight - Jerusalem Gold

Day 18: Jerusalem

This morning we return to Jordan. Included onward departure transfer to Amman airport or Madaba hotel. If your flight doesn't leave till later in the evening, you can enjoy some free time in Madaba before we transfer you to Amman airport. Overnight - Jerusalem Gold
