Welcome to Egypt and the start of your adventure with On the Go Tours. On arrival at the airport you will be met by our rep and transferred to your hotel in Luxor where the remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure.
Today we tour the ancient city of Thebes taking in the Temple of Luxor - built by Pharaoh Amenophis III and the Temple of Karnak. More than a temple, it’s a gigantic and stunning complex of sanctuaries and pylons dedicated to the Theban gods. Later we take an Overnight train to Cairo.
Today we will take you to visit the famous pyramids and lion-headed Sphinx at Giza Plateau. Sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World, the pyramids are the planet’s oldest tourist attraction! Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct. Continuing to Saqqara for more sights.
Today you will enjoy a guided excursion to the citadel, Khan el Khalili markets and then on to see the dazzling antiquities of ancient Egypt at the Egypt Museum.
We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Abu Simbel and on arrival we will transfer you to the hotel. The massive rock-cut temple of Abu Simbel never fails to impress. It's possibly the most awe-inspiring temple of all ancient Egypt, with its gargantuan intricately carved facade, created to revere the mighty pharaonic ruler King Ramses II. Enjoy a guided morning excursion before returning to the airport for your flight to the Nubian city of Aswan. On arrival you will then be transferred to your hotel in town.
Today we will head out of town takes to the mighty High Dam. The by–product of this modern feat of engineering is Lake Nasser, the world’s largest artificial lake. Continuing, we enjoy a short boat trip to Agilika Island for Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. We will then drive you to Luxor and check you into the hotel.
At over 4,000 years old, Luxor is a living museum. We tour the West Bank, taking in the incredible Valley of the Kings, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. After disembarkation we then transfer you to your beach resort in Hurghada.
Transformed in recent years from a small fishing village, the town of Hurghada has managed to retain its natural and historic charm and offers visitors beautiful sunshine, warm water and plenty of activities to keep you entertained. The next two days are free for you to make the most of Hurghada.
Today marks the end of your family holiday with On the Go Tours. After breakfast and hotel check out we will transfer you to the airport in Hurghada for your onward departure flight.
