Day 1: Cairo

Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday! Arriving into Cairo airport our local rep is on hand to transfer you to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy a tour of Old Cairo, visit the old Coptic suspended Church and city of the dead, the oldest Synagogue of Ben Ezra, drive to the Citadel of Saladin, and visit the alabaster mosque of Mohammed Ali and the KHan Markets in the cool evening air.

Day 2: Cairo

Today we tour the Pyramids at Giza Plateau. Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks, it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct. The other two - Chephren and Mycerinus are equally impressive. This afternoon we venture to old Islamic Cairo and the Egyptian Museum, home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world.

Day 3: Cairo - Nile Cruising

Morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Arriving here, our local team are on hand to transfer you to the Nile cruiser for check in and a nice lunch. . This afternoon we visit the Philae Temple and Aswan High Dam. Philae temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, was rescued in an enormous UNESCO effort in the 1970s. Due to high water levels in the resevoir created by the Old Aswan Dam and further aquatic drama due to the creation of the mighty High Dam, Philae temple was relocated stone by stone on higher ground on nearby Agilika Island.

Day 4: Nile Cruising

Relax and take in the riverside village views perched on the top deck! A stop will be made at the waterside Temple of Kom Ombo.

Day 5: Nile Cruising

Having the distinction of being the largest and most completely preserved pharaonic, albeit Greek-built, temple in Egypt, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus, was one of the last monumental temples built on a large scale. An early morning stop is made to view the temple and onward sailing to Luxor. Evening viewing of the Luxor temple.

Day 6: Nile Cruising - Luxor

Today we disembark at Luxor and explore the best of Ancient Thebes; Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Temple of Hatshepsut. Afternoon at your hotel to enjoy the facilities.

Day 7: Luxor

Morning or afternoon the choice is yours we visit Karnak temple. Karnak is a spectacular myriad of sanctuaries, pylons, chapels, halls and obelisks, all dedicated to the Theban gods and to the greater glory of Egypt’s Middle and New Kingdom rulers.

Day 8: Luxor - Hurghada

This morning we drive to Hurghada. Arriving here, check into your resort. (OVERNIGHT TIA HOTEL -- ALL INCLUSIVE)

Days 9-12: Hurghada

Time for a bit of R & R! There’s plenty to do in and around Hurghada. Consider sail boarding, yachting, deep-sea fishing, Scuba diving and snorkelling or simply soak up the sun poolside. Hurghada’s central location provides a gateway to prime offshore reefs, which are some of the finest in the world. Hurghada also has a lively nightlife scene and excellent shopping. Day 13: Hurghada - Cairo

Afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Arriving here, we transfer you to the airport hotel.

Farewell incredible Egypt, you can use the hotels free shuttle service to head to the airport for your flight home.
