Pyramid at Giza

Day 1: Cairo

If you look very hard through your aeroplane window, you might spot the great pyramids of Giza before landing in Cairo, if not you will soon after. Welcome to Egypt and the start of your adventure in the Land of the Pharaohs. In the arrivals hall our friendly local team await to drive you to your hotel, located right at the edge of the Pyramids! Enjoy the remainder of the day with some time by the pool and enjoying the heat of the desert.

Day 2: Cairo

Sunrise at the Giza Plateau! Saddled on camels and with cameras at the ready, we hunt for the exact spot where Tintin himself discovered the pyramids. If you’re feeling brave, venture down into the burial chamber deep inside one of these giant ancient tombs. After lunch, with horses to suit all abilities, we take a gentle ride to the necropolis of Saqqara and explore the older Zhoser's step pyramid

Day 3: Cairo - Luxor

Early rise today to see the famous Egyptian Museum, home to the treasures of King Tutankhamen, you’ll come face to face with some of the great rulers of ancient Egypt in the mummy room! It’s back to present day Egypt and the hustle and bustle of downtown Cairo early this afternoon, exploring the famous Khan el Khalili markets, stopping at historic Fishawi coffee house and the 19th century Citadel of Saladin, before heading to the airport for your flight to Luxor. Here, you will feel it is much hotter as you can spend time relaxing by the pool this evening in upper Egypt.

Valley of the Kings

Day 4: Luxor

Time to go in search of the tomb of King Tutankhamen in the eerie rocky landscape of the Valleys of Kings and Queens – we might even stumble upon Hergé’s tomb of Pharaoh Kih-Oskh! After a visit to the Temple of Karnak, we have time to escape the dizzying afternoon sun with free time to splash in the pool. Later at dusk, horse-drawn carriages take us to Luxor Temple, when it’s beautifully illuminated at night.

Day 5: Luxor - Hurghada

This morning it’s a dry and dusty drive to the lush seaside town of Hurghada, along the way you will get a true feeling the expanse of desert as the highway cuts straight through it with nothing to note along the way.

Day 6: Hurghada

Enjoy some quality time by the sea. Why not pack your bathing suits, sun lotions and sun glasses and opt for a boat excursion on the Red Sea. Dropping the anchor at a location renowned for it’s safe snorkelling and swimming possibilities, you can opt to don mask, snorkel and fins for a great view of the colourful shoals of fish in the aquatic wonderland that is the Red Sea. Alternately you can simply relax on the beach at the hotel, the choice is yours.

Day 7: Hurghada - Cairo

We will transfer you to the airport in time for the flight to Cairo. On arrival in Cairo, we will transfer you to the hotel.

Day 8: Cairo

Sadly your Egyptian adventure has come to an end with the secrets of the Pharaohs revealed we transfer you to the airport in time for your departure flight.
