Day 1: Cairo
Welcome to Egypt Barry and Rosemary Christian and the start of your holiday with us! We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel for the evening.
Day 3: Cairo
Welcome to Egypt Simon and Helen Berry and the start of your holiday with us! Upon arrival into Cairo we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Today we tour the Pyramids and Lion headed Sphinx at Giza Plateau. Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks, it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct.
Day 4: Cairo - Lake Nasser
This morning we will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival we will pick you up and transfer you to the Sunrise Grand M/S African Dreams Lake Nasser Cruise! Relax and enjoy afternoon tea served in the lounge. Overnight M/S African dreams.
Day 5: Lake Nasser
This morning visit Kalabsha temple, Beit El Wali and the kiosk of Kertassi. Later we sail onto Wadi El Seboua and pass the Tropic of Cancer. Overnight M/S African dreams.
Day 6: Lake Nasser
After breakfast on board, this morning we visit Wadi El Seboua, the temple of Dakka and the temple of Meharakk. We continue sailing onto Anada. This afternoon we visit the temples of Amada and of Derr, as well as the tomb of Penout. Overnight M/S African dreams.
Day 7: Lake Nasser
This morning sail onto Kasr Ibrim. Your tour is conducted from the sundeck as entrance is not permitted. Continuing to sail onto Abu Simbel and this afternoon enjoy a tour of the Temples of Abu Simbel. Overnight M/S African dreams.
Day 8: Lake Nasser - Nile Cruising
Today disembark from your Lake Nasser cruise at Abu Simbel and fly back upto Aswan to board your Nile cruiser the Sonesta Star Goddess. This afternoon enjoy a felucca trip on the Nile and this evening attend the sound and light show at Philae Temple. Overnight Sonesta Star Goddess.
Day 9: Nile Cruising
Today enjoy a visit to Kom Ombo temple. We then sail onto Edfu where you can enjoy a guided tour at Edfu temple this afternoon before we continue sailing onto Esna. Overnight Sonesta Star Goddess.
Day 10: Nile Cruising
Today we sail onto Luxor. This afternoon enjoy a tour of the East Bank including Karnak and Luxor temple by night. Overnight Sonesta Star Goddess.
Day 11: Nile Cruising - Luxor
Today we disembark the Nile cruiser for a guided tour of the West Bank including the valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon
Day 13: Luxor - Cairo
Today we will transfer you to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival we will transfer you to your hotel for the evening.
Day 15: Cairo
Today enjoy a full day tour to Dahshur (including the bent Pyramid & Red Pyramid) and Memphis!
Day 16: Cairo - Amman
This morning enjoy a guided tour of the Egyptian Museum and then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Amman Jordan! Upon arrival we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your hotel for the evening.
Day 17: Amman - Petra
Heading north, we visit Jerash, the Graeco-Roman city known as the ‘Pompeii of the East’. We continue onto visit Mt. Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land, here you can take in the wonderful view of the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, Jericho and (if it's clear). Later we journey onto Petra for the evening.
Day 18: Petra
After breakfast, spend the day with your private guide exploring the ancient Nabatean Rose City of Petra - a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Day 19: Petra - Dead Sea
Today we journey to Wadi Rum for a jeep safari through the sand dunes, getting up close and personal to the surrounding scenery of Wadi Rum before we head to the Dead Sea for the evening.
Days 20-21: Dead Sea
The next few days are free days for you to relax. Take a dip in the unusually warm and incredibly buoyant mineral rich waters and smother yourself in Dead Sea mud. The Dead Sea, renowned for its curative powers and therapeutic qualities, is the world's oldest spa!
Day 22: Dead Sea
This morning Barry & Rosemary will be transferred to the airport for their onward flight. For Helen & Simon today is free until we transfer you this evening for your onward flight departing early at 02:15 on 15/06/13.
