Welcome to Israel and the start of your Biblical adventure. We’ll be there to meet you at airport in Tel Aviv. We then enjoy a drive around the city, stopping at Rabin's Square. After, visit Old Jaffa, an 8000 year old port city, where we visit the ancient ruins and walk along the restored artists' quarter. We then visit Neve Tzedek, the first neighborhood of Tel Aviv before driving to your hotel in Jerusalem. (OVERNIGHT PRIMA PARK HOTEL)
This morning we will drive to Ein Kerem, a picturesque village where John the Baptist was born. After, we continue to Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity, Manger Square and Shepherds Field. Returning to your Jerusalem hotel in the later afternoon. (OVERNIGHT PRIMA PARK HOTEL)
This morning our Israel driver will be dropping you off on the Israeli side of customs at Allenby Bridge. From here, you will make your own way through Israel and Jordan customs using the shuttle service that you pay locally owing to the distance between the two. Arriving into Jordan after customs our Jordanian driver awaits to transfer you to visit Jerash, the Graeco-Roman city known as the ‘Pompeii of the East’. We then drive to Amman and time permitting enjoy visiting the city sites such as the Citadel, Archaeological Museum, the Roman theater and Folklore Museum.
First stop this morning is Madaba which is famous for its Byzantine Mosaics that you will get to explore. Then onto Mt Nebo - the single most important biblical site in Jordan. Descending some 1300 metres to the lowest point on the earth's surface we arrive at the Dead Sea. Spend the afternoon swimming, lathering up with a detoxifying mud bath and bobbing about in the ever warm mineral-rich body of water. After we drive onward to your hotel in Petra.
Get ready to be amazed! Very early rise to explore the amazing sights such as the Street of Facades, the Theatre, Colonnaded Street and Qasr al Bint. After, drive Wadi Rum for a 2 hour 4x4 tour of the moonscape terrain which T. E. Lawrence described as “vast, echoing and God-like.” After you will dropped off on the Jordan side of the border and you will then make your own way across all customs until reaching Egypt. Egypt side our local driver will transfer you to your hotel Nuweiba (Arriving Late)
Enjoy a day by the sea side (Hotel Check Out at Noon) You can leave your bags in reception while you spend the day enjoying the beach. This evening you will be driven to Sharm El Sheikh in time for the 21:45 PM flight to Cairo. Arriving here you will be driven to your hotel.
Today we tour the Pyramids at Giza Plateau. Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks, it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct. The other two - Chephren and Mycerinus are equally impressive. Afterward we tour the tomb-strewn necropolis of Saqqara, featuring King Zhoser’s step pyramid. Constructed by Imhotep, the pharaoh’s chief architect in 2700 BC, this was the template for all future pyramid construction. At some point today you will be taken to a fantastic Papyrus Shop for some shopping.
After breakfast we head out to visit the famous Egyptian Museum, here you can enjoy a guided tour and free time to browse and explore the famed treasures of King Tutankhamen. We then enjoy an in-depth tour of Old Cairo, visit the old Coptic suspended Church and city of the dead, the oldest Synagogue of Ben Ezra, drive to the Citadel of Saladin, and visit the alabaster mosque of Mohammed Ali and more. At some point today you will be taken to a fantastic Perfumery for some shopping.
Sadly your middle east adventure comes to it's conclusion today. We will be sure to transfer you to the airport in Cairo, in time for your flight home.
