Welcome to Egypt and the start of your incredible adventure. We'll be there at the airport to greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Cairo. The rest of the day can be spent relaxing after your flight or making the most of your hotel's facilities.
We start our touring with the dazzling antiquities at the Egyptian Museum. Amongst the many exhibits are the treasures of King Tutankhamen. This afternoon offers free time to relax and enjoy the hotel facilities or independently visit old Cairo and the Islamic citadel.
Today we visit Egypt's most loved sight - The Great Pyramids of Giza. We explore the Giza plateau, pyramids and massive lion-headed Sphinx. Later, we tour Saqqara - an ancient necropolis with many half-buried tombs and the famous Zhoser’s step pyramid. Tonight we take an overnight sleeper cabin train south to Aswan.
On arrival into Aswan we'll collect you from the train station and transfer you to your home for the next four nights - our luxury Nile cruise boat. After check in we explore the local area, starting with the mighty High Dam and the Philae Temple. Enjoy lunch on board the ship before undertaking a felucca cruise around Kitchener Island on the Nile. Later in the evening dinner will be served back on the boat.
The boat leaves Aswan and begins its journey up the legendary Nile River. The first stop of the day is Kom Ombo, a temple dedicated to the crocodile-headed god Sibek and the ancient falcon-headed god Horus. We continue to Edfu where the boat docks for the night.
After breakfast we visit the impressive temple of Horus at Edfu. Being the largest and most completely preserved pharaonic, albeit Greek-built, temple in Egypt, it was one of the last monumental temples built on a large scale. Our cruise continues to Luxor where it docks for the night.
At over 4,000 years old, Luxor is a living museum. We tour the West Bank visiting the magnificent tombs of the Valley of the Kings, the extraordinary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch we continue our touring with a visit to the Karnak Temple, an impressive complex of sanctuaries and obelisks dedicated to the Theban gods.
After breakfast we check out of our luxury Nile cruise ship and transfer to the airport in Luxor for your included flight to Sharm el Sheikh. On arrival into Sharm we'll be there to collect you and transfer you to Dahab where you can spend the rest of the day at leisure.
After breakfast and hotel check out we will transfer you Sharm el Sheikh where you can spend the next two days enjoying the many activities on offer.
Today marks the end of your holiday with On the Go Tours. After breakfast and hotel check out we will transfer you to the airport in Sharm for your included flight back to Cairo where services end.
