Today, enjoy a visit to the Pyramids at Giza, one of the sole survivors from the ancient Greek listed Seven Wonders of the World. In front of the pyramids sits the Sphinx, an enormous statue with the face of a man and body of a lion. Later, we explore the necropolis of Saqqara, with its litany of ancient tombs and famous centre piece, Zhoser’s step pyramid. and also Memphis with the Abalaster Sphinx.
This morning you will drive to Alexandria on the Mediterranean Coast you will enjoy a full days sightseeing. Founded by Alexander the Great, Alexandria boasts wonderful beaches and an impressive seafront corniche, along which are dotted cafes and restaurants, as well as catacombs, souks and relics from a bygone age.
Early this morning we will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Aswan. Free time to perhaps do some shopping in the colourful souks and markets or simply relax in this attractive town which straddles the River Nile. This morning a visit out of town takes us to the mighty High Dam – a modern feat of engineering, the by–product for which is Lake Nasser, the world’s largest artificial lake! Continuing, we enjoy a short boat trip to Agilika Island for the Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. On your return we check into your 5 star Nile cruise boat.
Relax on the sun deck and enjoy the spectacular views and great facilities and service on board as the cruiser plies its course. Today you will disembark for a visit to The Temple of Kom Ombo which is dedicated to two gods, Sobek the crocodile God and Harveris the Sun God.
This morning we visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu. Later this afternoon you will arrive in to Luxor and when dusk draws near we will take you sightseeing to the Luxor Temple, beautifully illuminated at night.
Today the massive pair of statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments we’ll see as we arrive on the West Bank for our day's sightseeing. We visit the valleys of the Kings & Queens, Temple of Hatshepsut & Karnak temple. Later we will tansfer you to the airport for the flight to Sharm el Sheikh. On arrival we will check you into the hotel.
We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Amman. On arrival we will transfer you to the Dead Sea and check you into the hotel.
The morning is at leisure. Depart in the afternoon, driving along the Dead Sea’s eastern shoreline and then up to tour the Karak Crusader Castle. The magnificent Crusader fortress of Karak - Crak des Moabites, or Le Pierre du Desert to Crusaders - soars above its valleys and hills like a great ship riding waves of rock. We continue to Petra for the night.
Today we explore Petra. Taking a walk through the mysterious siq (an ancient passage created due to a geological fissure) we are confronted by the rose-red facade of the Treasury. Amazing Nabataean and Roman ruins are on tap here at Petra. The intrepid can ascend the many stone carved steps to Ad-Deir better known as the Monastery.
This morning early we drive to Wadi Rum the moonscape terrain T. E. Lawrence rightly described as "vast, echoing and God-like." Here enjoy a 4x4 jeep tour of the vast landscape of ancient riverbeds, pastel coloured stretches of sandy desert and amazing rock formations known as jebels that rise from the desert floor, the desertscape of Wadi Rum represents some of the most stunning countryside on the planet. We then drive on Amman, for the flight for Tel Aviv. On arrival in Tel Aviv, we will check you into the hotel.
It is an early start today as we head to Jerusalem for a full day's guided sightseeing trip. Drive to the Mount of Olives for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Holy City. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane to visit the Church of All Nations. Proceed to enter the Old City to see the Western Wall, the last remnant of the Great Temple at the time of Jesus. Continue through the picturesque Arab Market to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher - the Crucifixion site and the tomb of Jesus. Finish the day with a visit of Mount Zion, Last Supper Room and King David’s Tomb.
Transfer to the airport in time for your international flight back home. (International flight not included).
