Day 1: Cairo

Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday. We will be there to meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. You will have an early check in today.

Day 2: Cairo

Day 3: Cairo

Today we will take you on a half day guided trip to the Khan el Khalili market, to wander through the alleyways, full of stalls selling everything from souvenirs to brass teapots! If you wish to change this to visit the Hanging Church or City of the Dead, that will be fine.

Day 4: Cairo

This morning you will drive to Alexandria on the Mediterranean Coast and have a full day's sightseeing. Please advise the sights you would like to have included today, as this is a private trip and we can include your specific sights.

Day 5: Cairo

Free day.

Day 6: Cairo - Nile Cruising

We will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Aswan. On arrival we will check you onto the cruise. (the flight we are looking at is Egypt Air 393 that departs Cairo at 09:25 and arrives in Aswan at 10:50).

Day 7: Nile Cruising

This morning after breakfast a visit out of town takes us to the mighty High Dam – a modern feat of engineering, the by–product for which is Lake Nasser, the world’s largest artificial lake! Continuing, we enjoy a short boat trip to Agilika Island for Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis.

Day 8: Nile Cruising

This morning visit Kom Ombo - a masterpiece of Greco–Roman art in Egypt. This twin temple is dedicated to two distinct divinities, the falcon God and Sobek the crocodile God. Each of the two gods has their own entrance, court, chambers colonnade and sanctuary in this unusual double temple with its perfect symmetry. After your visit continue sailing toward Aswan.

Day 9: Nile Cruising - Sharm el Sheikh

Today we sail to Luxor and leave our Dahabeya. We explore Luxor’s West Bank and the atmospheric Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of the once mighty pharaohs lie amongst the desert landscapes of the Nile Valley. Also a visit the Valley of the Queens and the magnificent mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, passing the imposing Colossi of Memnon en route. We then transfer you to the airport for the flight to Sharm el Sheikh. On arrival we will check you into the hotel. (the flight we are looking at is Egypt Air 440 that departs Luxor at 21:50 and arrives in Sharm el Sheikh at 22:15).

Day 10: Sharm el Sheikh

Free day. If the situation changes and the area of Mt Sinai and St Katherine's Monastery is secure, we will notify you and will be able to organise this locally for you, for a guided tour to St Katherine's Monastery.

We will transfer you to Sharm el Sheikh airport in time for your departure flight. (You have a late check out today.
