Welcome to Egypt and the start of a wonderful holiday! Arrive Cairo airport, meet and greet service and included transfer to your hotel that you have booked.
Today we visit Egypt's most loved sight - The Great Pyramids of Giza. We explore the Giza plateau, pyramids and massive Sphinx. Later, we tour Saqqara - an ancient necropolis with many half-buried tombs and the famous Zhoser’s step pyramid, last stop of the day is the Red and Bent Pyramids of Dashur.
This morning we head out to visit the famous Egyptian Museum, here you can enjoy a guided tour and free time to browse and explore the famed treasures of King Tutankhamen. We then enjoy an in-depth tour of Old Cairo, visit the old Coptic suspended Church and city of the dead, the oldest Synagogue of Ben Ezra, drive to the Citadel of Saladin, and visit the alabaster mosque of Mohammed Ali and more.
After breakfast we are off to the airport and fly to Aswan. Here, our local guide is on hand to transfer you to your cruise ship where you can enjoy lunch on board. Later, enjoy a boat trip for a guided tour of the Philae Temple, then enjoy sailing on the Nile in a felucca boat, to visit nearby islands and when the sun has gone down a guided walk around the fantastic souqs. Evening dining and entertainment on board your cruiser docked in Aswan.
Relax and take in the riverside village views perched on the top deck! A stop will be made at the waterside Temple of Kom Ombo.
Having the distinction of being the largest and most completely preserved pharaonic, albeit Greek-built, temple in Egypt, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus, was one of the last monumental temples built on a large scale. An early morning stop is made to view the temple and onward sailing to Luxor. Evening viewing of the Luxor temple.
Today we disembark at Luxor and explore the best of Ancient Thebes; Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Temple of Hatshepsut and later Karnak temple. Karnak is a spectacular myriad of sanctuaries, pylons, chapels, halls and obelisks, all dedicated to the Theban gods and to the greater glory of Egypt’s Middle and New Kingdom rulers. T|his evening we fly to Sharm El Sheikh. Arriving here, a transfer brings you to your hotel.
Enjoy your time in the Sharm soaking up the sun, dipping in the warm waters of the Red Sea you can opt to go snorkelling or diving or just lay back on your sunlounger on the hotels private beach sipping cocktails.
Sadly your journey has come to an end, we will transfer you to the airport in time for your flight to Cairo where you can connect on your flight home.
