Welcome to Egypt and the start of your adventure with On the Go Tours. We'll be there at the airport to greet you and transfer you to your hotel for check in. Our afternoon begins with lunch at a local restaurant before we begin our tour of Coptic Cairo. We then explore the Egyptian Museum and spend the evening browsing the goods on offer at the Khan El Khalili bazaar, including a local perfumery.
Today we see what Egypt is most famous for - the incredible pyramids of Giza and the legendary Sphinx. Sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World, the pyramids are the planet’s oldest tourist attraction! Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct. Our full day of sightseeing also includes Memphis and Sakkara.
After breakfast we transfer you to the airport for your included flight to Sharm el Sheikh. We'll be there at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel where you can enjoy a spot of lunch. The rest of the day is free for you to enjoy at leisure and get an early night before your big day tomorrow.
The day begins early today as at 02:00am we leave the hotel and begin our climb up Mount Sinai to watch the sunrise. After this spectacular sight we tour the St. Catherine Monastery. We then head back to our hotel for breakfast before hotel check out. Departing Sharm el Sheikh we visit the Old Town Market for a spot of shopping and then continue to our hotel in Nuweiba.
After breakfast we set off to Taba Border where we cross over into Israel. Here you will be received by our Israeli team and transferred to Jerusalem, the holiest city in the world. After hotel check in and some time to freshen up after your journey, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Our touring of Jerusalem begins with Mount Olives for wonderful panoramic views of the valley below. We continue to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of Agony. Drive to Mount Zion and visit the tomb of King David, the Room of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey. Entering the Old City we visit the renewed Jewish Quarter taking in the Western Wall, the Temple area, the colourful bazaars, Via Dolorosa and the Stations of the Cross ending at the Church of Holy Sepulchre.
After breakfast drive to the Israel Museum to visit the Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea scrolls, then a visit to the beautifully renovated Model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem. Continue to Yad Vashem, a memorial to the six million Jews who were killed in the Holocaust. Afternoon visit the picturesque village of Ein Karem, the birth place of John the Baptist. Continue to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and a view of the shepherd's fields. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Leaving Jerusalem this morning we drive north via Jericho, the oldest city in the world. Continue to Capernaum to visit the ruins of the ancient synagogue and Peter's House. We also visit Mt Beatitude. Later in the afternoon we continue to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation and Mary's Well. Drive to Tel Aviv for dinner and overnight.
Today marks the end of your journey with us. After breakfast and a leisurely morning in Tel Aviv, we transfer you to the airport for your onward departure journey.
