After breakfast we head out to visit the famous Egyptian Museum for a guided tour and free time to explore the treasures of King Tutankhamen. We then enjoy an in-depth tour of Old Cairo, visiting the old Coptic suspended Church and city of the dead, the oldest Synagogue of Ben Ezra, Citadel of Saladin and the alabaster mosque of Mohammed Ali and more. Early this morning we take you on an air excursion to the famous Abu Simbel, the rock-cut temple of King Ramses II, the Great Builder. Later, we drive you to Luxor and check you into the hotel. Today the massive pair of statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments we will see as we arrive on the West Bank for our half day sightseeing. These are all that remain of the temple of Amenophis III. We then proceed to visit the Valleys of the Kings and Queens and the imposing colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Later we visit Karnak temple before taking a flight to Sharm el Sheikh and onward transfer to St Katherine's. Overnight - Hotel Morris
Brace yourself for the spectacular sunrise over the Sinai Desert at the spot where it is said Moses received the 10 commandments. Descending we have a guided visit St Katherine's monastery, which has existed in one form or another for at least 1600 years and is one of the oldest in the world. we then drive to Sharm el Sheikh for the flight to Cairo. This morning you have the option to revisit Petra in your own time before we drive you to Wadi Rum. Wadi Rum is a vast, silent landscape of ancient riverbeds, pastel coloured stretches of sandy desert and amazing eroded rock formations that rise from the desert floor, The region is also home to semi-nomadic Bedouin living in their great goat hair tents tonight, we enjoy a Jordanian dinner tonight at your camp. This morning you will drive to Alexandria on the Mediterranean Coast you will enjoy a full days sightseeing.
