Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday. We will be there to meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. (International flights not included).
Today we visit the Pyramids of Giza. Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks, it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct. Afterward we tour the tomb-strewn necropolis of Saqqara , featuring King Zhoser’s step pyramid.
This morning we venture to old Islamic Cairo and the Egyptian Museum, home to the most extensive collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities in the world. Arguably the most famous exhibit is the stunning solid gold funerary mask of the boy-King Tutankhamen. This evening we board the overnight sleeper train to Luxor.
Today the massive pair of statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments we’ll see as we arrive on the West Bank for our day's sightseeing. We visit the valleys of the Kings & Queens and the Temple of Hatshepsut. This evening we will visit Luxor Temple for the illumination.
This morning we visit the magnificent Temple of Karnak. More than a temple, it’s a gigantic and stunning complex of sanctuaries and pylons dedicated to the Theban gods. We then catch a flight to Sharm el Sheikh and transfer you on to Taba and check you into your hotel.
Today we will transfer you to the airport for the flight to Cairo. Upon arrival we will transfer you to the hotel. Rest of the day is free.
