Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday. We will be there to meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.
Today we will take you to visit the famous pyramids and lion-headed Sphinx at Giza Plateau. Sole survivors from the ancient Greek-listed Seven Wonders of the World, the pyramids are the planet’s oldest tourist attraction! Gaze in awe at Cheops (Khufu) - the largest of the three great pyramids. Constructed from over 2.5 million limestone blocks it is thought to have taken more than 20 years to construct. Continuing to Saqqara for more sights.
Today you will enjoy a guided excursion to the citadel, Khan el Khalili markets and then on to see the dazzling antiquities of ancient Egypt at the Egypt Museum. This evening after a rest we will transfer you to the train station for an overnight sleeper train to Luxor.
Arrive Luxor and you will be metEmbarkation. Lunch on board. Your afternoon will be free at leisure. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
After breakfast, visit the East Bank of Luxor: walk among the colossal temple of Amun Ra and the avenue of the sphinxes between the Karnak and Luxor temples, an experience that you will never forget. Back on board for lunch. In the afternoon, the ship will sail to Edfu via Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Discover the huge temple dedicated to the God Horus in Edfu by horse carriage and tour it with your guide. Visit the colorful local bazaars on your way where you can buy your souvenirs. Lunch on board. Sail to Kom Ombo Dinner and overnight on board.
This day, the boat sails to Aswan. Once in Aswan; you will go off shore for the visits of the gigantic high dam, unfinished Obelisque and splendid Philae temple of Isis the mother goddess. Dinner and overnight on board the ship in Aswan.
Enjoy your day free at leisure. In the afternoon, you will discover more beauty of the Nile by felucca boat and visit the Botanical Garden: a peaceful paradise full of shady trees, beautiful flowers and unusual plants hosting colorful exotic birds on the Kitchener island. Back to the ship for dinner and overnight.
In the early morning, your ship will sail to Kom Ombo, where you will visit the unusual double temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the god Haroeris. Lunch on board while sailing to Luxor. Dinner and overnight on board the ship.
After breakfast it is time to focus on the West Bank of Luxor: explore the great valleys of the Kings & Queens where generations of Pharaohs and Nobles were buried in crypts cut into the cliffs and guarded by the two huge Colossi of Memnon. You will then visit the temple of Queen Hatchepsut. Enjoy your lunch and afternoon free on board. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.
Check out after breakfast. Transfer to the Airport in Luxor in time for your flight to Sharm el Sheikh. Arrive Sharm and you will be met and driven to your hotel in Taba.
